In Chhattisgarh, 42 billionaires are contesting the polls this time.
There are 53 contestants who have criminal cases registered against them.
Congress has the maximum number of billionaire candidates, 19, in the second fray of polling.
In the 2003 polls, the BJP had fielded 6 women candidates. Of these 4 won and 2 were made ministers.
This time, the BJP has fielded 9 women candidates. Earlier this year, the BJP had declared 33 pc reservation for women in organisation posts.
The Congress has fielded only 10 women candidates.
