Aviation has undoubtedly been the flavour of the first decade of 2000’s. We are witnessing explosive & exciting growth here. Projected figures indicate that over 70 million passengers are expected to fly by the year 2010 - hence, there will be approximately 50,000 jobs in this industry by this year. The growing need of trained employees in the Aviation industry has rippled onto related industries, namely: Hospitality & Travel Tourism as well.

Hospitality relates with hotel industry which covers accommodation sector. It plays a significant role to promote tourism and there is a huge potential in this industry to cater to young force in shape of employment. In the coming five years, Hospitality industry has projected potential growth across India, which translates into 25000 + jobs by 2010, the year India hosts the Commonwealth Games.





This information is for those students awarded a scholarship from Maples – Training professionals in Aviation & Travel Industry.

Maples Endowment Scholarship
First prize has one award	Second prize has two awards:
The winner of the first prize will get 100% concession on the fees. 100% of the fees will be paid by Maples*	First Award Second Award The winner of the second prize will get 50% concession on the fees. The winner of the third prize will get 50% concession on the fees.

The scholarship winners have the options of choosing one of the following courses:

• DBA in Aviation Travel tourism & hospitality
• DBA in Customer Service Management

OR

• PGD in Aviation Management
• PGD in Customer Service management

• * Scholarship Winners have to abide by all the Terms and Conditions of Maples
• All exam fees to be paid by the student to Cavendish/other affiliated university
• The candidate should clear the foundation year (semester 1&2) in first attempt to avail the scholarship benefits for the second year

The Scholarship is awarded only on the Tuition fees and for students who complete the course in India specifically during the said course duration as specified by the Institutes application form. Exam fees and taxes if any have to be borne by the Scholar. Where the Scholarship is for a part amount, then the same would be adjusted against the Tuition fee payable and the scholar would have to pay the balance within the stipulated time.
