Is there any issue on which our politicians, our netas dont have a view? Ok lets think hard. Ummm. from water shortage to cricket matches to anything that begs a face, they have a view on everything. But do you remember anyone of them opening their mouth on the Jessica Lall case? Two rich, spoilt and drunk sons of politicians shot dead a beautiful young lady. The elite went silent, and so have our politicians. So is there no separation now between Page 3 and Page 1 people? Why are we not hearing any of the self righteous people like Arun Jaitley of the BJP, Kapil Sibbal of the Congress, and can you forget the Left brigade? Where are the likes of Brinda Karat, Nilotpal Basu and Sitaram Yechury? As a political junkie, I can think of so many instances where our leaders have....

What's the most enduring image of Sourav Gangluy? Him standing at the Lords balcony, waiving his shirt before millions of TV viewers all across the world or him standing at short mid wicket chewing his nails, or him arguing with the umpire for not upholding his LBW appeal? In all three actions, which really became a part and parcel of the Ganguly show, there is a common factor. His aggression. His I -don't-give-a-damn attitude. And most importantly, I-love-my-country feeling. Whatever happens to Ganguly from now, we can't thank him enough for being the main force responsible for turing around team India. Look at the timing when he was appointed skipper. Indian cricket had sunk to its nadir. There was a new devil called match fixing. Sachin Tendulkar had made it clear that he was not ready for the top job in the country's sports.....
