Monsoon contingency plans... yeah right!?

They had me... they had me up untill the point they said..."we're prepared....what happened last year is all in the past...the deluge is long gone. this monsoon is for the cutting chai and the bhuttas....." they had me...up untill the point that we decided to anchor from outside the studio. And then reality struck. Cars stranded. Shops in deep water. Cattle tied... and will die if no one opens them before the water rises. Children enjoying their new found swimming pools...and adults walking already with baggage on their heads...knowing perfectly well where this is all going to go. Deja Vu..... well.... Lets just call it - not learning from our mistakes. the plastic that clogged all drainage last year is still there. In brighter colors this year...if thats possible. The roads....full of puddles, open man holes, sidewalkes completely submurged... its already happened. And that's not even the worst....

Never been a fan of censorship...hate the idea. Da Vinci Code- Here's a fantastic book....a movie one cant wait to watch...and all we're getting from these so called beaureaucrats..is this... "We need to see it first before the film can release" nonsense. I mean really who died and made them the saviours of the world. And looks like our tolerance levels are just dropping by the day. Water, Fire, earth..... every time an issue is raised...there are those...who're just not willing to let a new perspective shine thru. Riots, protests......why cant we just come to terms with the fact the some people might just think different from the way we do..Is that really so difficult! Such a cliche' i realise...but "the Earth is Flat" story...we've all heard that one havent we now.Are we really as closed minded to not see another perspective? Or worse...are we so week...that....

It was the funniest...We were in the midst of bluetooth transfers and my friend complained .. "Ok now bas...my phone has no more place for all these sex videos..! Back From Coconut Country

The one tool I use most often to make things fun for myself, make jokes laugh around...is the one thing that was absolutely useless in Kerala. We take it for granted...speak to somone in Emglish..and when we dont get that knowing nod...our immmediate reflex is to switch to hindi......no knowing nod even then ....and that's when it started... We did interesting stuff in Kerala. Went fishing with the locals....not knowing what they kept laughing about thru the process.....because everytime I asked them for more bait for the fishing line...they'd giggle. I stopped wondering....making peace with the fact that they had an inside joke...I clearly was the outsider.. We learnt how to climb a coconut tree. Tambi, the 56 year old man ...climbs coconot trees every day..and gets paid a full 10 rupees to climb each tree and bring down the coconuts. His ankles are rock hard..with the coir that's around....
