Blame it on the Media
Addressed to the Readers: Hello, can one talk to you, Could you spare your minutes few? This is about the Media, And sincerely one had no idea... That you could hate it so much, And refuse even to touch; Or consider the simple concept, That even the media could take some wrong steps. (While you are such a human strong, You have never done a single wrong?) Come let's blame it on the Media, It's always a bloody good idea... To say Hey Cameraman! You should also have been Superman; To stop that blast and prevent that flood, And fight the villains, and curb the blood. (While you vote for the villains, To launder your clandestine millions?) Come let's blame it on the Media, It's always a bloody good idea... To ask hey how come you Reporter, You....
Maaro s**le ko... ?
Nathnagar (Bihar): In Bihar's Bhagalpur, a man became the victim of mob fury, with the authorities not even lifting a finger. The man's hands were tied behind his back and he was beaten up mercilessly by people, after he was caught trying to snatch a woman's chain. The incident took place in the Nathnagar area of Bhagalpur. That is what the story starts with, accompanied by the video of a man being lynched by people and then tied behind a motorcycle and dragged. The police didn't help. And the camera was rolling while this happened... The man was/is a chain-snatcher. And perhaps had been practicing his skill for a while. Do you remember Moninder Singh Pandher, the Nithari killings? The dead bodies of children that were not bodies at all, rather dead PIECES of children? One is asking if you remember because being Indians, we usually....
Will you be my friend?
It was 9 am and one could hearing roaring from Mishraji's house. Knowing that Mishraji is rather anti-anything-that-growls (read animals, particularly pets), one wondered what was the cause and who was growling. The scene was unfolding on the verandah, which was funny because Mishraji has always believed, "Dirty linen is for private washing madame, else you will write about it." Well, he sure thinks HE has an interesting life! Anyway... so the scene was such that Mishraji was bellowing at his youngest son (not the one who recently got married). Apparently Mishraji wanted his son to "get out" of Orkut, Facebook, Hi5, Linked. In and every other possible social networking site. The son was roaring because while he had agreed to pull out his profile from Orkut, he wasn't ready to give up on the others. "But Daddyji, it's my social life!" he roared. "Nonsense. You are always sitting....
My right, your wrong
Filling-up online quizzes is a lot of fun: The personality tests, the know-your-destiny ones (big frauds those), the are-you-fashion-conscious, do-your-friends-love-you, etc. The general awareness and current affairs' quizzes are duly avoided. So are the superhero quizzes. One particular question had hitherto completely stunned one: 'If you could have a superpower, what would it be?' Perhaps, it would be: The ability to differentiate between right and wrong. I am awful at it. People, situations, vocations, decisions, statements, prejudices. Differentiating between what is right and wrong would usually solve a whole lot of complications; but we can't, not me, not You, either. Uzi or a Kalashnikov, someone asked me? See, from Family Protection Angle, what gun would kill more? The uzi is more a shooting-from-top-of-open-all-terrain-vehicle gun. See Hollywood movies, they teach weird things. But the AK-47, that's "Rambo's gun". Why a gun at all? How about land mines? Let's surround our....
Munnabhai, the lord of war?
Hello People: Long time, no write and the reason was simply that all our bloggers/ reporters/ scribes here were writing most of the things that I wanted to talk about. Also, Mishraji had gone to the US of A to meet his older son and family, so there was not much excitement in my life. Well, now Mishraji - having missed out on heckling me for the last eight weeks - is back with renewed vigour. And a new digital camera that has video functions as well. Sigh. So now, Mishraji's current agenda is sting-operating me with his digital camera. But more on that later... According to the constitutional laws and rights of India, a person when sentenced to imprisonment, cannot be arrested till as such time he is not been handed out a copy of the judgment meted out to him. So the Supreme Court has....
