What a remarkable result the 2009 election has given this country! Surprise was the common emotion to every politician, whether they won or lost. The media did predict that the UPA will come to power, but not that confidently. Even the winning Congress was shocked to grab 205 seats on its own. On the other hand, the BJP received a huge jolt as this time their performance was worse than the last Lok Sabha's. What exactly went wrong with them, may take time to figure out. So many people predicted a hung assembly that the BJP felt confident; in spite of their internal clashes and ideological differences. First Arun Jaitley was highly upset with Rajnath Singh over the Sudhanshu (tentwallah) Mittal issue. There were those in the party not in favour of Advani as PM.
