This French team is a disgrace

Before I start, I should make it very clear, I hate France and it won't be wrong to say that in first instance they never deserved to qualify for the World Cup. It was a handball by Thierry Henry which led to the goal in qualification round and helped the disgraceful France reach the World Cup finals. From my point of view Henry should have been banned from the football at that very moment. I will call him an arrogant cheater.

In the World Cup, Les Bleus tumbled to a couple of tame defeats against Mexico and South Africa after opening their campaign with a 0-0 draw against Uruguay, leaving them bottom of Group A and good only for a quick journey home.

France's World Cup campaign was undermined by farcical infighting.

Firstly, Nicolas Anelka was sent home for using abusive words towards coach Domenech. As a result of Anelka's expulsion, the French squad mutinied and refused to train. Captain Patrice Evra started the protest by saying that Anelka should not have been treated like this.

Well to my information words used by Anelka were shameful and any coach could have sent that man back home.

Looking at Anelka's history, he has been involved in controversies throughout his career. Former France coach Jacques Santini accused Anelka of lacking respect for his international team-mates after he snubbed an international call-up, his first since April 2002, for a friendly with Yugoslavia. Anelka responded by stating that he would never play for France again unless the coach himself kneel down and apologised.

Honestly speaking I won't fully put the blame on the disgraced striker. I agree he was wrong but the coach Domenech should also be blame for their exit.

Firstly leaving out likes of Karim Benzema, Hatem ben Arfa was the worst decision any coach could have made. Benzema is one of the classiest strikers I have seen in the recent past. Watching him play was a treat. I agree he did not had a great season with Real Madrid because of injuries but he is better than Anelka and Henry any day.

Secondly, if Henry was chosen ahead of Karim Benzema, what was the reason for that? Karim Benzema played half of a season but still managed eight goals. On the other hand, Henry just managed to score two goals in the whole season for Barcelona. Considering Benzema's age and pace, he would have been better option.

I think the French team went there for a holiday and football was the last thing on their minds. I see them as a total disgrace to this year's World Cup and football. Even Italy crashed out of the World Cup in the first round, but at least they went out fighting and with their integrity intact unlike France who left a bad taste in the mouth for all football fans.
