CPM might just do a favour to the Congress

As Kerala gets ready to send its new set of MPs to the Indian Parliament, this race looks like yet another foregone conclusion. The CPM-led LDF might be ruling (with little governance) the state but if trends are to go by, it's all set to get a drubbing this time round at one of its own bastions. Out of its 19 MPs who now represent the state, the CPM would do wonders if it manages to send at least a couple back to the corridors of power in Delhi and the reasons to take that line of thinking are abundant. One, the Congress for a change, looks like a well-oiled machine, all set to roll out. All the infighting in the party has been made to rest at least for the time being. In Ommen Chandy they have a mass leader and in Ramesh Chennithala a master tactician.....
