Facebook Lite - First Indian User's Experience

A large blue box appeared at the top of my homepage the other day inviting me to partake in a private beta of Facebook Lite. It turns out I was one of the very few (randomly selected) people who were given the opportunity to test out the new faster, simpler version of the wildly popular social networking site. Facebook Lite brings Facebook back to the core of what the service exists for - communication and interaction. Gone is all the incessant noise in sidebars and those annoying 'Your friend took this quiz' stories. Lite makes Facebook far more simpler and usable if one intends to use it for the simple 'keeping in touch' rather than gauging one's compatibility with Rakhi Sawant via those irritating quiz apps. With most of the junk dead and gone (even the Notifcations and Chat bottom-bar), Facebook is suddenly a concoction of snappy HTML/CSS....
