Bhavna Chauhan is a novelist, an architect and a former Indian Army major. She graduated from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi and then joined the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, in March 2001, standing first in the order of merit and bagging six proficiency medals. Her first novel Where Girls Dare has been released by Penguin Books as part of their Metro Reads series. Where Girls Dare is a fictional account that follows the antics of 52 Lady Cadets (LCs), who train alongside 400 Gentleman Cadets (GCs), some of whom believe that girls in the armed forces is a bad idea. An avid movie buff, Bhavna won the 'Popkorn Challenge' quiz on Zoom TV and was also crowned the runner-up in the May Queen pageant of the College of Military Engineering, Pune.
