The Great Wall of China: Getting a little painful but getting there

5IBNLive IBNLive

In the third installment of the 10-part video blog series, we visit the Great Wall of China. About the journey and much more:

CLIMBING THE WALL

Climbing the world's longest wall was quite an experience. Stretching over approximately 6,400 km, the Great Wall of China is quite inspiring.

I thought the walk would be a touristy one, a bit on the easier side, but the 45 degrees climb was not a cakewalk. The camera equipment that I was carrying made it even more difficult. I made it to the tower on the hill with great difficulty.

Too bad I did not have the time to get the 'I Climbed the Great Wall' certificate. Most of the people who went with me are probably displaying it. Okay, now that I have seen the Taj Mahal and the Great Wall of China, its just 5 more wonders to go.

BEER THE TALK

Is it shopping at the Great wall better than the Sarojini Nagar experience? After walking down the Great Wall of China, purchasing a can of well-deserved Beijing beer was an experience to cherish forever.

A DREAM COME TRUE

It was a dream come true having scaled the Great Wall of China. Raising a toast to the great journey we sang songs sitting next to the trash bins of China.

  • A journey to remember
