Sweating it out!

15IBNLive IBNLive

First of all thanks so much for all the responses to the show! You guys...thanks so much for your support!

Now to the week gone by...while I was still celebrating the loss of the first two kgs...Edgar was making me work really hard.

For the first time in my life, this week I've started to sweat like a pig, quite literally! I mean, I remember in my first kickboxing class, I saw Edgar and I thought man this guy sweats!! I mean, I'd never seen anyone sweat from their legs!! And not normal sweating...people I'm talking about wetting the floor around you...I'm sorry if that sounds a little gross, but man! I thought that if I could sweat like that I would lose weight at such a speed...it would be a record in it's self. And the problem with me has always been that I don't sweat too much. Maybe my sweat glands (like the rest of me) have gotten used to being so lazy that they just refuse to do what they're meant to do...make sweat! Or I'm too much of a lady to sweat! (Although you would highly suspect that after seeing me kick box the way I do)

But gosh...this week!! This week, when I was doing my third round of pushups (50 a set!) and when I felt the first sweat droplet trickle down from the centre of my forehead, down to the ridge of my nose and splash on the floor...that was a moment that you live in slow motion!!! And also one that you want to rewind and live again and again!! And that drop of sweat just broke the dam. I've been sweating like crazy! (This revelation should not put anyone off...as I also carry an expensive and quite effective deodorant)

It's like a game now...the sweat beads nestle happily in my brow, and tickle when they slide down my back! And I'm happy in the knowledge that they are taking all the excess weight off me!!

Even doing sit ups with heavy muscular boys on my back couldn't dampen the joy of sweating. (Can you believe the little joys of life?) And not even the fact that I lost only 500 gms this week...No that's not really true. I actually got a little disheartened...but Edgar says I'm building muscle and muscle is heavier than fat. Basically there's nothing to worry...plus I also have to see if I'm losing any inches...

But all that's for next week!!

Other than that I'm really missing home. Mum, Dad my sisters. After a long tiring day, I sometimes wish there was mum waiting at home with a hot cup of soup. )My family is in Dun). But the positive side is, when they do see me eventually, like after this project, they'll be really surprised!!

PS: Hey did I mention I've started learning guitar! And it's great fun!! Fitness of mind and body!
