It's all about India winning it, Isn't it?

IBNLive

On March 24 2011, the whole country was set for the big match - The India vs Australia World Cup quarter final. All the Indian players all chants all voices just wanted India's victory.

The reasons were many - the revenge for the loss against the Aussies in the 2003 world cup, the urge to stop Australia from winning it again, the hundredth ton of the god of cricket Sachin Tendulkar, and the biggest of them all, the desire to reach the semi final and have a face off with THE rival Pakistan on the Indian soil in the world cup.

In that match we all wanted India's victory anyhow. The country prayed, conducted havans, cheered and did all what they could to make India win. And India won. All prayers and those knocks by Yuvraj Singh, Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir paid off.

India celebrated, danced and the country is now back to its desires - and this time for the bigger one or should I say the biggest. If India-Australia was big, India - Pakistan is what everyone is calling the baap of all matches.

Here definitely India's victory is what the nation wants. So to be more precise, when the country wanted India's victory over Australia, they were not just looking for an India-Pakistan match but at India's win over Pakistan.

The Prime Minister is going to watch the match from the stands. He has also invited Pakistan's Prime Minister and President. It indeed is the baap of all matches and Indians indeed want a victory from our 11 men.

But it doesn't end here. If India's get that victory, is this going to be the end of these wishes? Certainly not. As the win would mean India reaching the world cup final and who would want to loose once they are right there.

Much before the World Cup began the nation the team has only been looking at a wing, the world cup 2011 wing - for the country, for the 11 men and more so for our master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

Yes, we just cannot deny that though the Mohali match is a biggie, we know we want a victory not just in that match, but in the next one too. So be it against Australia, be it against Pakistan or be it the World Cup final. At the end, it's all about India winning it. Isn't it?
