Your blog on Amar Chitra Katha is fascinating.Given the democratic setup, I feel that Legislature is stealing the entire stage through their decibel level and there is no level playing field for the Executive,Judiciary and Press to assert their roles.With the times changing,with innovation and growth being the driving force of Corporate,it is high time we recognised its role in the polity.Just think whether US or any other country would have looked at India, if it were not for our IT prowess.Therefore these innovation masters from Corporate must be given their due place for expressing their views on moulding the future policy be it foreign or domestic and the Legislature's cacophony must be curtailed.Assuming PM to be the CEO, is he allowed to recognise innovation and chart the path of growth in the present state of affairs?

Hi Rajdeep ji... Greetings. you are right. The political situation is now purely opportunitstic. Its really ridiculous the way the congress and its men are trying to clear the trust vote. It is learnt that the offer went beyond 20 crores per MP. We can simply guess what kind of favour Mr.Amar Singh and its partymen have got!!! and would be getting... Before the Left cut-off with Congress, we all know what was the SP's stand and now it is completely opposite. How can people trust these party and its partymen? Politics has also become one of the best industries to make money, name and fame... and what not!! If Amar Singh like politician's know very well how to encash such situations very well this is what happening in current indian politics.

I very much agree with the last line of the article. That public life will cease to be that of the public. Cannot understand that political parties who sometimes claim to have the best statesmen and strategists can behave in this way at times. Or have the meaning of Strategists changed? Yes seems so. Even Osama is a strategist and people say that the best project executed till date in the world in 9/11 though for all the wrong reasons. But anyways the entire seriousness of the Nuclear deal issue has been diluted. The entire episode has been reduced to a number crunching game which the UPA may or may not be able to muster on the floor of the house during the no-confidence motion. But 20 years hence when India is going to look at its historic deal it will remember the conditions under which the agreement was passed. ( assuming UPA wins the Vote of Confidence ). It was passed under deals and deals and deals between opportunistic political parties and politicians alike without even bothering about the Nation per se. Already you have Amar Singh starting to speak that PM should interfere in the Ambani feud ( a PM of a nation like that of India has not better task to do than to interfere in a family feud). The political parties are themselves confused on who the biggest enemies are. Secularism is the most punned word. Communalism has become a tag line today to the brand BJP. And all these political parties are fighting against each other without understanding the crux of the issue. I wonder how many of these 543 MP's would actually know the salient features of the Nuclear deal and the kind of implications it is going to have on our Nation. How many would know why are they opposing it and why are they supporting. In the future too during critical issues an Amar Singh ( as already Rajdeep has mentioned exists in every political party) will sit like a hungry animal, and bag the best deal not for the Nation but for his own POLITICAL PARTY - WELCOME DEMOCRACY

Unfortunately the roal model of indian MBA students an urban india is Anil ambani. But Amar singh shold understand they never go to vote. Learn from left they are using ambasdor car and not big cars lile mulam singh and they have to pay havy price. Left is coming to Hindi heart land in the next poll

Hi, Rajdeep I am greatest fan of urs since from the days you were with Prannoy Roy.
Today Amar singh is seeing a golden lining in supporting government. He knows its just last 5-6 months for govt to end its time, but if he gets this 6 months he get lot to eat and even help others eat, which they was starving for long long time.
He can help a lot to Anil Ambani, in MTN deal, in spectrum issue and lot of cases where Mukesh Ambani is having an upper edge.He can even affect sub-judice issues.
HOW can we forget SUBROTO ROY of Sahara.Recently his group was asked to stall para banking activities.
Now comes the turn of harassing the enemies. And well known No.1 enemy of Amar Singh - SP is Mayawati. The day one Amar Singh came near to Congress the cases regarding Mayawati's un-propotionate wealth automatically re activated.
Rajdeep, I as a layman, can see just very few reasons for what he wants to get in power. Having such a force of media persons with you can bring lot of his evil minded plans to light.
You have great medium to reach each and every single person in the country cant you make whole nation aware of these motives.
