This chat is over. Thanks for joining.
- Is YSRCP leader Mr Jagan Reddy clearly emerged as a leader of anti congress? Asked by: Balarami Reddy
- Yes and No, I still don't have final numbers but if TDP is number two in most seats then it means Jagan versus TDP is the next battle
- the jaggernaut effect will change the history of Andhra ? Will this last like NTR and Chandra babu waves or bust soon ? Asked by: sundar1950in
- Jagan has focussed on organisation of his party and has political experience now. so it will be a party that will sustain itself
- With such a high pitched campaign against him for his father's misdeed and Criminal case and jail he has managed the campaign for elections succesfully. is it that people do not trust the CBI on it's claims or it is INSPITE of those calims Jagan is a factor. If it is the second is it good for democracy ? Asked by: sundar1950in
- Look corruption in India is an issue that's often superceeded by political vendetta. Jagan sold the vendetta agenda and that worked with people. Corruption will matter in the long run
- I dont want to be in this country anymore.. This Guy just robbed the exchequer Rs.1 lakh crore in the first 5 years of his father's term.. CBI arrested him on corruption charges.. Yet People sympathized that he is in jail and we should vote him... A Rs.1000 per Vote has the final say i guess Asked by: Sreeram Boyapati
- I know it's sad but remember if he robbed then the booty was shared with all those in power today in the congress
- Is there still a possibility of a reverse merger of YSR congress with the Indian national congress ? Asked by: sundar1950in
- there is always a possiblity. But it sewems unlikely before 2014. You never know but
- Does this in effect meand end of TDP's aspirations to return to power in Andhra ?? Asked by: sundar1950in
- yes, to a large extent this means Jagan can hold the sway in coastal AP and rayalssema ..His party's Konda Surekha has done well even in Telengana. There is a sentiment in jagan's favour.
- With Andhra going this way and TRS in Telengana will congress lose it's way like in tamilnadu ?? Asked by: sundar1950in
- important question. I am keenly watching whether Jagan versus TDP will become like DMK versus ADMK. IT is at the moment like that and will be that way toill 2014 but we will have to see what happens over 5 or 10 years
- What is the strategy Jagan has in mind on the Telengana issue ?? Asked by: sundar1950in
- he has stated he is for a united AP... but still his party has done well in telengana (They have come second to TRS)
- Will the Congress led by Kiran complete it's tenure in the assembly ?/ Asked by: sundar1950in
- At the moment we will have to see how many MLA's will go over to Jagan. But I think congress has the money power and political clout to muzzle through till 2014
- Do you think TDP is down and out of the race in 2014 Election or this result is more damage to congress than tdp Asked by: Kiran Krish
- The primary looser is congress. Remember all these seats were congress held (except 2 PRP) seats. So they were strong congress seats ... But the TDP needs to watch out and be worried if they want to replace congresss
- Do you think congress government will last long with this emphatic victory of YSR Congress Asked by: chinmay
- I think yes, but let's see what happens over the next week
- Who do you think will lose political relevance in AP in 2014.TDP or Congress Asked by: chinmay
- Congress
- Do you think YSR Congress giving tough fight in Parkal indicates waning of telangana sentiment Asked by: chinmay
- No, it means the Jagan sentiment was stronger in this elections. at the end of the day he is seen as a telugu insulted by delhi
- Why is TDP performing so badly inspite of massive anti incumbency factor. Is TDP getting marginalized in AP politics Asked by: chinmay
- Look TDP seems to have lost it's way also Jagan is a fresh face and has emotion going ...but never write off anybody in politics ... traditional caste lines remain strong
- What is future of Jagan's party if he is incarcerated in jail for next two years Asked by: chinmay
- The way the case progresses woulkd make it difficult ... but i think they have the muscle, money and political desperation to survive
- What message do these elections have for congress and TDP Asked by: chinmay
- for congress it's clear ... they are on their way out ...for TDP .. you'll have a very very tough fight to come to power
- How long will this sympathy last for jagan reddy Asked by: chinmay
- atleast till one full fledged election
- Will TDP lose main opposition status in 2014 and is it becoming irrelevant like AGP and some opposition parties in north east which have lost opposition status Asked by: chinmay
- No, Either Jagan or TDP one of thenm will win and the other will be the opposition party
- Sonia G and other Congress leaders could have been kicking themselves for losing an opportunity to strengthen their hold in AP after YSR's death. This is one of those many episodes where Congress has lost the plot, recently. All in all, Sonia Gandhi is being advised by very sinister people or really foolish individuals. What do you say? Asked by: Karthik
- actually I think Jagan played the cards wrong ... he made it an Ego issue and She made it a prestige issue and they parted ways
- For 2014, is YSR Cong likely to partner BJP to defeat Congress and TDP??? Asked by: suraj123
- no jagan cannot loose muslim votes
- This clearly gives a glimpse of how corruption creep is instated in normal peoples life in Andhra Pradesh. Asked by: suresh
- not just AP, accross India
- Has the Congress played into the hands of Jagan by arresting him or was the CBI just doing its job? Asked by: William
- it's a political arrest on a strong legal case ... he is corrupt, but he's also a political victim
- Do you think anti incumbency has worked in favour of YSRC party or the sympathy factor? How do u see the future of TDP in AP politics since it has performed miserably ? Do you see anymore defections from the ruling congress and TDP? Asked by: Hafeez
- Not from cong to TDP ... it's more from Cong to YSR cong ...TDP will remain relevant ... as lonmg as it can stay and fight, which it can, it'll be relevant
- Is it an end of an era for congress in South India? Has congress lost its credibilty in AP altogether by pushing YSR's family to extremes? How do u see Jagan's future as a politician? Asked by: Hafeez
- No, I think congress will do well in Karnataka ... In AP if congress doesn't give telengana they will be finished in all three regions in 2014
- Just like it happened in TN during late 1960s, congress is routed forever in AP. What do you think? Asked by: Nagarajan
- No, I am not sure if Jagan will be a Sharad pawar or a Mamta Banerjee ... And I think politics is a long game ..TN had a very different history
- If he wins 2014 elections in Andhra pradesh.what would be his strategy,to rule or to earn...because as of now we do not see any thing from him or the party Asked by: suresh
- He has so far been known for corruption, we will have to see if he turns a new leaf
- will the congress legislators now defect in favour of jagan after the results Asked by: naveen kumar verma
- most likely outcome but will he topple the government is the question

- Not at all .. I think the TDP remains relevant
- What is the future ahead for major parties in AP, 1.Congress 2.TDP 3.YSRCP 4. TRS..? Asked by: Suman
- Congress has to face defeat in 2014, TDP and Jagan will fight for power ...TRS will win Telengana ..Their future would depend on if the state stays together or bifurcates
- What should be the strategy of TDP to make the best of the 2014 elections? Asked by: gayathri
- It should focus on How Jagan and Congress together were corrupt and tell voters to vote for clean, development government instead of personal rivalry ... must resurrect NTR image
- Do you see Jagan partnering up with BJP post 2014? Asked by: Krishna sharma
- No
- why the curse for INDIA - the only qualification for becoming a CM or PM is to be the son of CM/PM ? In otherwords, is INDIA still live in (old) dynasty style rule in the name of democracy (eg. Nehru family in Delhi, YSR family in AP, karunanidhi family in Tamilnadu)? Asked by: Raghu
- very very very very frustrating and sad
- Had Jagan not asked to be made CM or had he stayed back in congress sharing the booty, would there have been any inquiry? YSR used to openly abuse anyone mentioning the corruption charges in the assembly itself. Asked by: sakuntala
- No, had he stayed on he would have had no trouble. But he wanted to be the man in charge
- Do you think Jagan will ask other Congress MLAs to vote against the Congress' Presidential candidate? He can threaten to topple Congress at any time and he might use this as a bargaining chip should CBI tighten screws. Asked by: Hariharan S
- He could do anything, CBI doesn't matter ... courts do and if he is convicted it will be a huge setback
- Your analysis superb. You guys are doing good job. Do you think CBI Vendetta is completely motivated by CONGRESS? Asked by: M S Reddy
- yes, but they do have a case.
- What effect will this have on the Presidential Poll Asked by: Arun Prabha
- not sure now, but it weakens the congress further
- Chiranjeevi (Kapu or his fans factor) seem to work in only few seats of North Coastal Andhra for congress (certainly not in Rayalaseema and Telangana). Can they sustain this till 2014? Asked by: Srinivas
- Jagan is a politician, Chiranjeevi remains a star and there in lies the difference
- Can we look in this way - A gain of 2 seats for Congress? Asked by: jay
- No it's a lost of 16 seats and a huge but expected set back
- How come people are not giving importance to the improvement of facilities etc done by TDP? In spite of media coverage about corruption, why do they vote for such people? Have they also become immune to corruption or trying to make fast buck knowing which side of their bread is buttered? Asked by: sakuntala
- TDP has failed in perception politics, they need to be more aggressive and maybe Naidu has to make way for a new leader
