He deserves this year's Noble Peace prize as well as in years'ahead when he achieves what every sensible human being wants- nations to peaceful co-exist.The sort of humongous damage wrought by George Bush in US credibility ,this recognition will to an extent remove opposition to any US sponsored moves among its adversaries.

His efforts are genuine. What the committee saw was the strong intention in his diplomatic moves to bring peace and harmony in the whole world. His moves to ease the relationship with the Muslim community is probably unprecedented from the White House. He definitely deserves a Nobel Peace prize, although it would have made more sense to give it to him next time.

The president of the only country in the world which is at war with atleast two other countries gets the Nobel Peace Prize. Speaks volumes about the jury.

I think the Gandhi not getting the Nobel prize itself proved that it is not something which the truly deserving people will get. It looks just like any other award given on unclear basis. So why to worry much about Nobel guys?

I think that US President Barrack Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize is an indicator how much the people carve and want World Peace these days. According to me, Whatever arguments people might give on his non eligibility of winning this prestigous award, we must not forget that just nine months ago, when he won the presidentship as the first black President of the biggest power in the world, he became a symbol of power and change to not only the Balcks in America but also made the world pause and look up. I don't think that there are many people left in this world who is looked up to and revered like Obama!! lets give this guy a chance, Guys!

The committee said he is try to destroy nuclear weapons.
Was America destroyed all it neclear weapons. First as peace maker Obama has to declar as "America doesn't have nuclear weapons. Even somebody put nuclear weapon over us also we won't try to attack by nuclear weapon."

Then he may eligible for Nopel.

Now this is given for popularity. He is not right person.

President Obama gained support from unprecedented quarters like the former Cuban president Castro and the Russian president Medvedev for his international policies but i feel it is premature to award him with the nobel prize.

Now that he has received the prize, i only hope that he transforms his words into actions.
