Are Maoists getting bolder by the day? How can the Government stem this problem?

The New Delhi-bound Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express train was held hostage by Maoists in West Bengal's West Midnapore district on Tuesday.

Yes, they are getting bolder by the day. Indian Govt should really think about it to take the action. otherwise we will end up with trouble in future.

Maoists are targeting poor people, they have really forgot their goal and intention, they are creating terrorism in the country, army should be used to tackle them...

The PM does not think the Maoists are terrorists, despite the fact they have killed scores of Indian citizens. I am confused, can we call a spade a spade?
If the Maoists are not terrrorists, why are they in hiding? Why aren't their grievances being adressed quickly instead of procrastinating them for years?
The PM says, we need more leaders to sustain high growth rate for the country, yet New-Delhi does not want to decentrailize the power it has been controlling since the beginning.
Let the states function as autonomous units, united under the central government.

Maoists r targetting the poor people especially dalits and tribals, to spread their base in India. It is therefore needed to make aware of the poor sections that Maoists hv been actually blocking their way to upliftment by resorting to violent methods.
The pictures of Maoist violence and letters describing their cruelty should be dispatched in villages. It is also necessary to block their sources of arms and money. Support for Maoists from outside India should be suspected in this regard.

I don't think the central Govt. is serious in dealing with the Maoists problem. They are more concerned with targetting and destabilizing left Govt. in WB and promoting the interest of their alley Trinamul.Mamata Banerjee gave the Maosists a platform to protest and used them rather effectively to further her cause in Singur. In fact she is an integral part of the problem not a solution. Now Maoists are demanding their pound of flesh. There is no soft option to deal with any kind of terrorism, whether it is couched in religious sheepskin or ideological romance. The State should assert itself to eliminate the terror, use combat forces to mercilessily root it out. There will be collateral damages and resulted loss in vote banks. But the integrity of the nation is more important than power and it is time to show results and stop issuing statements. The developments in Sri Lanka and Pakistan should atleast wake up the politicians and rulers from the deep slubmer they are enjoying to act decisively.

The terrorists attack civilians and innocents. Why don't these HR condemn them instead of blaming forces. If we give room to Maoists and involve in the silly business of talks we will have to face them how SL govt faced LTTE after 2001 CFA.Better eliminate Maoists without talks.

The government is very soft on maoists & terrorists.Unless it gets ruthless & tough over them ,it seems difficult to control them.God Will, the situation should not go out of control.

This is not the time for conducting a research as to what created the naxals/maoists.......let us leave it to some socialogists and let some get doctorate for their theses !

The need of the hour is how to combat this menace which is spreading its tentacles fast to almost half the area of our country.

This is the time to provide security to innocent citizens.
This is not the time to score political points.

While the government tries to resolve genuine land grab issues, it can not allow anarchy to continue unabated !

Maoist movement is encouraged by Maoists coming into power in Nepal thro`ballot after building a huge mass base being underground and indulging in armed fighting for decades.Mean while, some anti Indian forces like ISI are helping in arming them.
THE INDIAN GOVT neglected in curbing naxalism in the begining as it could not understand the oppression and unequal development is strengthening the maoist movement and enemies of india helping Maoists. Now a stage has come where areas under 2000 police stations is under control of Maoists and this is alarming for Indian democracy and security,.
Maoist movement now has got four wings of operation. Ideologues, armed cadre, local sympathisers in the red corridor and social activists of the mainstream.ideology is to get the power thro`gun. For that, they have the armed cadre.they get the arms by raiding police stations,by smuggling into the country from international arm suppliers - this is facilitated thro`the enemies of the country.Funds are by donations, extortions, ganja cultivation etc. Some times they get support from the mainstream politicians like in Andhra and West bengal. They do not hesitate to take help from either ISI or LTTE.They have started recruiting even the children like Taliban and LTTE.
Naxal problem can be solved thro`political process only. This political process need not be taken in a hurry with violent measures like fighting from air which will damage the innocent and dislike against govt will increase manifold.Pak`s air attacks on Baloochi revolutionaries and the failure in resolving the problem should be a lesson to be learnt. The govt should immediately start development measures in a big and speedy manner from the periphery of the Naxal`s corridor where encounters with Naxals will be much less and thus loss of the lives of innocents will be minimal. With these measures ,govt could create confidence among people and then slowly reach the central point thro`same developmental measures.Along side this, involve in a dialogue with Maoists and impress them and their supporters with the sincerity in govt actions.
Maoists are forcing the govt to react immediately and in a stronger way when most of the public including PM and HM WANT TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM BY DEVELOPMENT ,RESTRAINED USE OF FORCE AND DIALOGUE.It seems that Maoists are not bothered about the damage they are causing to the meagre publc assets and also inconvenience and loss of lives to the innocent public. It is also pointing towards some encouragement to maoists from some external forces who want to put India in trouble by weakening its internal security.Taking hostage of Rajdhani express, blowing schools and govt buildings in Jharkand and Orissa in last few days.
Let us understand that this movement has got four pillars of support; ideolgues, armed cadre, local sympathisers who provide shelter, food and new cadre and social activist support which gives them a lot of positive public propaganda in the main stream. So, govt should direct its Armed Action and dialogue process to the specific areas and there should not be anymore laxity as the situation is ripe enough to end it by strong and continuous attention and action of the govt towards maoists. They should not be allowed any more to create violence and damage to the national properties.Simultaneously ,development of the redcorridor like extending NREGA TO 200 DAYS PER YEAR, AND BUILDING SCHOOLS, HOSPITALS, ROADS IMMEDIATELY IN A LARGE MANNER, As this movement causes instability of internal security and it is the thing our external enemies want and encourage.

the only solution to naxals & maoists problem is
(1)to induct army & air force to combat them
(2) no arrest but to shoot them on the spot
