Thackeray's scathing attack on Sachin's patriotic statement underlines ShivSena's parochial outlook. Its totally unacceptable and uncalled for. The whole nation is behind the Little Master.

1. A common Marathi man should show his patriotism in elections as they have done by rejecting Marathi parochialism

2. Highly placed Marathi people should support Sachin Tedulkar and openly declare that India comes first to them. Bal Thakre cannot fight against Sachin.

3. Now I would request Aye Mere Watan ki Didi Lata Mangeshkar to come forward and support Sachin. She is nowhere if her Hindi film songs were not there.

Sena is not in a position to play politics....

They thought that MNS will denounce Tendulkar for the remark, and so they wanted to be first, to procalaim themselves as the custodian of the Marathi spirit....the shrewed Raj did not open his mouth.!

Not only SS, the Congress also thro the CM Chavan pretends as if they are the custodians....

What ever this shiv sena and MNS are doing, i just wanted to say that the doomsday of maharastra is a bit too close, this not how leaders behave, their offices must be having photos of great leaders but actually they are hell of a sucker.

We are upset with Sachin, the media and the elite group of people for coming up with two identifications for non-hindi people.
(1) Sachin says he is an Indian first and then only a Marathi. What does he mean? When someone says he is a Marathi, it means he is an Indian. Why he thinks that Marathis are not Indians?
Does he think that only if someone speaks Hindi, he becomes an Indian?
(2) Though we all love Sachin for all his achievements, we are upset by his reckless attitude towards protection of our Marathi language. Today, the scope of Marathi in Maharashtra has been reduced to a great extent. People are using Hindi by default everywhere. And Marathi is used only inside the houses and that too while talking to uneducated elderly people only. SACHIN DOES NOT KNOW ALL THESE THINGS? He is remaining blind and showing a callous attitude when his language is being forcefully shut by Hindians. And he says 'he is proud of Maharashtra'. If he is genuinely proud of Marathi, then definitely he would have raised his voice against hindi domination in Maharashtra. FOR THE FIRST TIME, WE ARE SEEING SACHIN NOT BEING A GENUINE PERSON.

BTW, Why everybody is fighting to own Mumbai? Why not fight to own a village in Assam? Because Mumbai has lot of Money, everyone is trying to own it under the name of "India". Money is above Language today. That's why people are hardly bothered about the slow death of Marathi in Maharashtra.

True patriots like sachin says INDIAN FIRST .What else do you expect from an INDIAN ?.

Ok then if mumbai is for only marathi people then Govt should have left it to bal thackrey and its supporters to counter terrorits in 26/11.Why do NSG commandos comprising brave soldiers from all over india had to come and fight to save mumbai?

Maybe an exceptional case of Mr.Thackrey and his supporters.If shiv sena looks to get votes by this way then they should forget about the 42 seats they won this time.There is every chance that will go down below 5 in next elections if they target sachin.

Thackerys comments are plain ridiculous, he needs to grow up. We are all FIRST Indians. It just seems like Thackery is living in a fantasy world where Maharashtra is a different country.

Sachin is a youth icon and this comment by Thackery will only weaken the sena's support from the youth.Remember that sena has become quite unpopular with the youth because of MNS and this will further worsen the situation among youths for sena.

It's strange to me that how could Mr. Takrey and party allowed the commandos from outside Maharashtra to fight with terrorists last year.
And one question is in my mind, if India is attacked by some other country in future, then would these thakreys allow Maharashtriyan soldiers to fight for country, or they would ask them to wait until enemy hit Maharashtra?
