Post-26/11, do you think India is better equipped to deal with a terror attack?

26/11 will go down in Indian history as one of the most vulnerable moments that the country has ever faced. Apart from bringing the country's commercial capital to a standstill, it also exposed the numerous chinks in the country's contingency and crisis measures. A year after 26/11 do you think India is better equipped to deal with a terror attack?

Do you think setting up more NSG hubs is a sound plan to combat 26/11-type attack?

Post 26/11 ,India has learnt a few lessons in how to deal with terrorism. It has tightened it's security a little bit. What is done is only a small part of what actually needs to be done.Even today, most local policemen don't have required equipment to fight with the terrorists. There have been no terror attacks after the daedly 26/11 strike. This is not mainly due to India's better preparation in tackling terrorism.International pressure mounted on Pakistan, which is the hotbed of terrorism after the 26/11 terror strike & this must have kept the terrorists on backfoot.

It is found in the reports that the government is keen on improving the defence mechanism. The allotment for defence is certainly higher in the previous budget. It is not the weapons that decide our fight against terrorism, its unity and patriotism that can do the magic. This incident has helped our politicians protect themselves from any possible threat! What about the people? We remember the heroes after one year. Are all the families, who lost their dear ones in the savage attack, helped by the governments at the centre and state? We are too busy and too smart to conveniently forget them before anything happens again. Those who deliver their jobs sincerely with devotion are never recognised at any level. We have the majority who shirk their responsibilities and make fun of those who are sincere. We need to change our mindset. We can't fully depend upon the government. If we stand united, without giving any room for terrorist activities, the country can become a super power. Let us remain united and if we still feel Unity in Diversity is still relevant we can face any uphill task. Let us hope for the better.

A party like Sena cannot be considered as political party but insurgent group. If govt will be soft on Sena terror activities then it have no moral authority to oppose the NE Insurgent groups. Sena party is biggest threat to National unity & integrity.

In the wake of the attack on the IBN office, the question we ask is which Maharashtrian voice should we listen to - someone like Sachin Tendulkar who plays with such passion and devotion for the glory of his nation or to a group of so called Maharashtrians who violate freedom of speech and expression and harm innocent women in a senseless wave of passion and for what cause and to what end??!!

No matter how much govt enhances the security measures or beefs up security on border or water we will never be prepared to prevent a crises like US has done after 9/11.

No matter where you go in this country its easy to get documents if you have money. My recent encounters with government offices, whether UP or Bangalore, they are all same. Everyone needs goddamn money. Things simply dont move. Going for a perfectly legal thing, one ends up paying to officials. Pay a little more one can do illegal things very legal way.
One thing I have observed is that getting legal things done in this country needs illegal ways. No matter how much tea Tata may sell. Our own Babu saheb will never miss a chance to grease their palms, and that too shamelessly. It pains when you see all your night shifts money going into someone's palm, who is working 2 - 5 pm. Taking govt salary, taking my hard earned money. I wonder if all the sleeper cells would do the same getting perfectly illegal documents the legal way. Courtesy our own Babu Saheb. Then another 26/11 will happen and Babu Saheb would have no clue that money he took sometime from someone has resulted in another catastrophe.
