Uproar in LS over 26/11 relief compensation: Are our politicians playing petty politics?

Uproar in LS over 26/11 relief compensation: Are our politicians playing petty politics?

TimePosted by IBNLive at 03:54 PM, Nov 26, 2009 in IBNPolitics

Lok Sabha witnessed noisy scenes on Thursday between Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Opposition leader L K Advani over the Government's reluctance to respond to Advani's demand for coordinated action by various agencies to provide relief to people affected by 26/11. Are our politicians playing petty politics over 26/11?

Though i am not a follower of BJP politics but what wrong did Mr.Adavani do by demanding an explanation over providing relief to the people affected by 26/11. I would rather say there was no better day to ask for an explanation than the day itself when the terror struck Mumbai as the emotions are riding high with the memories of the day among people affected and the scared citizens of India including me...And as usual this would be forgotten after a couple of days by the politicians..

First of all, you people should remove the mindset that whatever BJP doing should be critised and debated and also whatever congress doing is correct and beyond scrutiny. Unless these issues are brought out, nothing will happen. We are forgetting the fact that so many families would have lost their bread winners and should be immediately compensated for even making a way for further planning. Let saviours of secualrism and unity of this country take years to bring Kasabs, Afsals to justice but not play with the lives of our affected nationals. And PM & Co for the sake of this country stop begging to America for putting pressure on Pakistan and instead act tough with anyone indulging in any damn activity that goes against the intrest of this country.

What happened in LS is unfortunate incident. Its so shame for our country. Is this our leaders?.I don't think advani heartfelt speaking for 26/11 victims. Its just a political speech.where was adavani till this time?shame Mr.Advani.Also I don't like the way Mr.Pranab mukharjee and other MPs responded to that political speech.Shame on these netas. Is they are representing us.They can't understand people of india. If we want to dismantle terrorism we should be united.rather than fighting with each other.

well...it definitely comes under the title "playing politics" but it is a thing worth investigating...if wat mr advani said about more thn 3/4th of the people not getting compensation is true thn it shud be looked into...

but also people ahould keep in mind tht mr advani and the opposition in general chose this very day to divulge this...if it alredy knew it thn y did it wait...did thy actually want to rub salt into the wounds of our country...?

in all probability he read it in a newspaper or a magazine and just came into the house to try his luck at defacing the govt and getting points frm the people...

No, Advani is right, this time! Government has done very little to stop terror. In fact besides cribbing in Washington, done very little.

As for compensation, Maharashtra govt and central govt has done very little, evident from the reaction of the martyrs family. But the BJP govt of Gujarat, has yet to compensate/rehabilitate the fisherman of MV Kuber, May Mr. Advani care to reply?

Remember compensation to the victim's family can be termed as anything but PETTY.

There was no necessity for Mr.Prnab Mukherjee getting so angry and attacking BJP by a political speech on a day remebering those who were killed on 26/11.What was wrong in Mr.Advani demanding compensation for those killed in Mumbai on 26/11?.

True...!Why every one is getting intolerant at their own inability in governance! However, all these politicians are two sides of the same coins..None of them are accountable. However, I have a question...why no one talks about those who got killed in 'KUBER' & their families?!!
