Is the law lenient on politicians who won

Is the law lenient on politicians who won't vacate government houses?

TimePosted by IBNLive at 03:28 PM, Dec 06, 2009 in IBNPolitics

Congress leader Begum Noor Bano was last an MP in 2004, but she has kept her plush MP's flat in New Delhi for five years. Is the law too lenient on politicians? Tell us what do you think about it.

There is no law for politicians. In this case,
1. Recover full amount with interest from her
2. Recover charges from congress party since it is their responsibility also to see their members behave responsibly.
3. Take action against the office the ministry responsible to take action and evict the place.

Most corrupt politicians and shameless are they. They prey on tax prayer's money and there would be many more like that.

Can anyone ask the supreme court to look in to this?

Politicians think they themselves are the law and law does not apply to them.

The rules should be enforced strictly and rent at penal rate should be recovered from the MP. Government rules on house allotment are very clear and when the term of the MP expires she has to vacate the house within the prescribed period of 2-3 months. One cannot wait indefinitely till elected again and getting the house regularised in irregular way. What the Estate Management has been doing all along ? The persons who allowed the stay should also pay the price. Why eviction procedure was not initiated ?

No, Law of this land is definitely not lenient on lawmakers, past or present. As a matter of fact that class has a different law that has a liberty to transcend conventional logic and wisdom that guides the followers. Just follow the story, you will bump into some weird logic put forward by somebody who is paid to hold and execute some authority. Don’t be surprised if that contains a generous dollop of blessing of the God that some of the major players in this confusing episode are supposed to pray and worship. Mera Bharat Mahan.

Sir,
In this country, there is a separate law for citizens and politicians. The democracy is by the MPs for the MPs and of the MPs.The democracy is for the MPs' sons, for the MPs' sons and of the MPs's sons. But we should appreciate the collective survival instinct of politicians, who would go any extend to protect their interets and take care of their own future. They pass laws for them, of them and by them. Long live our politicians and long live our democracy. Long live our people in the same pitiable conditions.
