AND congratulations to the Grammy committee which recognized our people and creation and awarded without any partiality and hatred, when we struggle in our own country for equal rights. Congratulations to all who talks one language…humanity and Love.

Hearty Congratulations to Mr Rahman for the honour. But I have a wee bit of discomfort in this matter. It is a bit incomprehensible when an artist in honoured with awards for his creations which somehow are not his best. I would rate his compositions for Roja, Bombay, Taal, Dil Se, as few examples, by far better than this score for Slumdog Millionaire. And I am unable to include the numerous Tamil/Telegu movie scores which I am unfortunately not familiar with. This raises an uncomfortable query in the mind, is it because of this film being the handmaid of a ‘gora’? Anyways, ‘der aya, drust aya’ is only we can say and go to town over this.

Current Rating:

I had a taste of Tamil film in my school days, irrespective of not understanding the language only because of Music, cinemotography. When I saw 'Roja' 1st day 1st show, I told all of my friends, this music director will beat Illyaraja & be one of the legend in Music. Now it is indeed happy to the dedication, devotion, dicipline he has consistently practised. Congrats. Hip Hip Hurray. Hope this award will create many AR Rahman in India. We need a University recognised 'Graduation in Music' to promote the born talent.
