Rahul also spent some time with children in slums in Mumbai.

Height of sycophancy and hero worship of Rahul by none other than the CM & the senior minister!

After all Rahul was the Gen.Secy of the Congress and CM was not intended to be there alognwith Rahul....but shameful that he waited for more than 2 hours - when he will not spare or give audience to the ordinary people even for just 2 minutes?

It's all because Rahul happens to be the son of Sonia Madam who, in fact, should be obliged with all favours -- if the CM wants his job in the state to be safe!

Current Rating:

What a shame that the alternative to mindless regional chauvinism is this idiotic stuntsmanship and utter sychophancy under Italian Raj? Should not there be a better sense than these two extreme ends of a mindless spectrum?

We Indians are tired of both. What are all these stunts made by the heir-apparent, going to achieve. He does not have even a single point of agenda on how he wants the nation to be built. All that the young people meeting him in all of these engagements, have to say is that he is so sweet and glamourous. That's good for a person in show-business. There are bigger expectations for this nation from its leaders.

God save us from this circus of false tigers and equally stupid jokers.

The news of a state cabinet minister carrying the “holy footwear “of the” prince waiting for coronation’ and the Chief Minister of one of the biggest province of the country waiting under a tree are really amusing though not unexpected. In olden days there used to be courtiers under maharajahs. With British taking over the power, these breeds disappeared. They resurfaced after the ascendancy of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi; as congress by then has acquired this culture of sycophancy as an acceptable character and prerequisite for political growth. Many mediocre politicians, unheard by public till then, who on the strength of their merit would not have become even an MLA , started occupying chairs and positions that they managed to bag by pleasing politically powerful with flattery and praise . Many acquired cabinet ranks, chief minister ship and some even entered up to Rashtrapati Bhavan on the strength of these qualities. Sycophancy has no limits; to say an example, once a congress president DK Barua had the audacity to state openly that “Indira is India” while the incumbent at Rashtrapati Bhavan was caricatured by a leading print media as a rubber stamp asking from the bathroom whether any more ordnance were to be signed. The institutions of Governor, President and Ministers became rewards for those courtiers, who day in day out either made statements flattering the powerful or demonstrated their submissiveness unambiguously like the way our CM and Minister Ramesh Bagwestae did today. By their action without any self respect, they have insulted the people of Maharashtra and the people voted them to power.
