The BJP on Wednesday organised a rally in New Delhi to protest against the spiralling prices of essential commodities. Left Front and other smaller parties have also criticised the Government on rising prices.

Instead of mere gimmicks, let the Opposition Parties mobilise their resources to expose the hoarders, blackmarketeers, the corrupt officials, the errant Gram Sabhadhpatis, the rogue rationshop owner, the lazy clerks, the indisciplined Babus who report for duty not before the stroke of noon, the high Govt officials who amass bribes at the drop of a hat and so on.Let the Opposition leaders give up their luxurious living and identify themselves with the common man.Let the Opposition leaders set examples by shunning the perks and privileges they get as a MP or a MLA.Only then will there be some fruitful result.

Yes, they can if they want to, for the good of the citizens. But will the right, the left & the casteist / opportnist parties do so for the good of the people ? They are more interested in only narrow political gains.

Actually, if good sense prevails and they do unite, it will be good for the masses & help in having checks & balances on the ruling party. This is what the opposition is for in a Democracy. It's their Duty.
