All it took was just one tweet to open a can of worms! Should we all think that all those top bosses of BCCI did not at all know what Modi was doing all these years while organising & conducting the IPL games? When things were going on smoothly, these "political & BCCI heavy weights" enjoyed the 'fruits" of Modi's labour. And when many intriguing and emabarrassing cases came out, in the name of money laundering, contractual lapses, tax issues, ownership rights, sponsoprships, etc.....those bosses & heavy weights wanted to play safe and expose only Modi for everything. The BCCI was a registered organisation and the organisation on the whole should be held responsible for everything-whether for good or bad too.

Lalit Modi was indeed a dashin administrator:Remember how he shifted the 2nd IPL matches in so short a period when security issues came up then, to South Africa? The main weakness was he was rather working too independently and not taking his BCCI team alongwith him. And that he must not have also looked into the legalities and statutory compliances of several issues. But then what were the BCCI officials doing -just watching Modi's actions & twiddling their thumbs?

In the garb of promoting IPL, Modi was actually feathering his own nest, he was multiplying his personal assets. The Lalit Modi chapter will leave a long lasting scar on the face of Indian cricket.

Nobody else could have made IPL such a huge success. Apart from making BCCI richer and providing entertainment to the people, IPL provided large employment opportunties from pea-nut sellers to the transport and hotel industries. The winner of the IPL got 6 crores and runner-up six crores besides several other prizes. Which other sport in India can distribute such huge amounts to its sportsmen. For all this, Lalit Modi should be given the credit. Good is not enough, excellent would be more appropriate.

Dear Sir

Dear Madam,

That which does a harm to the natinal resources by his own conduct and act cannot be good for the nation and that Mr Modi was doing was harming the nation and its cricket as well. Hence he was never good for cricket

Lalit Modi was good for a few counted Indian individual who wanted to change their fortune holding the fingers of cricket. Basically that was not good for cricket, and hence he was not at all good for Indian cricket

Thanks

To some extent IPL, which was run by modi, was good for indian cricket. The other domestic cricket managed by BCCI has never been this successful. I dont say he was striving for cricket, but would rather say the event was his brain, which is a huge success. If he is replaced, then that person will not have much to do, modi has set the stage.

Who knew who is rayadu, tiwari, murali vijay before the IPL, it was a great opportunity for them. To that end, IPL has been good for cricket.
