Should corporates invest more in small movies rather than star-studded films?

With the success of 'Udaan', it is clear that audiences are willing to watch small movies. And with big-budget films flopping, should companies produce more films like 'Udaan'?

Budget should be always depend upon script and not on anything else. If budget is required to make a film like Spider man or Avtaar, i will say please invest as much as required. But where unnecessarily paying great amount to stars like Akshay kumar, is totally waste.
Corporates should thing of making good movies rather than making Big Movies.

why not?? now, auidences are more matured to watch searious movies like "taare zameen par","swadesh" not "DDLJ","Prince" type, I am kinda bored with latest bollywood movies, no chance to watch 3 hours pain, better to watch selcted russian,english,irani.. or back to old days movies.

Yes, look @ Raavan, Kites and Housefull. Does they make sense ? Does they entertain ? Does they have story ? Trash. Even big stars should make sensible movies. Big companies should look @ big stories not big stars.

Current Rating:

Depending what exactly the corporates wants than only we could judge if they have wider choice, but definately as cine fan, we prefer they invest in quality movies, either total entertainment with new breed of stars every time and second with a good social message varying from time to time, highlighting the woes of commoner, the gap among societies.

Forget about corporate, is media doing enough to cover these movies??? Because all I see are snaps and videos of making of movies or promos of stupid worthless movies for which we pay an amount to watch @ the multiplex worth nothing in return!! Also if news channels take more efforts in interviewing and covering such movies, it will help to gain more audience nationwide!!
