Roads are an indicator of a country's economic progress and growth. In India, however, roads speak a different story. Potholes are a common feature of all roads in Indian metros. Which city, according to you, has the worst roads?

Delhi has the best roads! Bangalore is a gone case. And Chennai where I am presently..... I can't understand how gutters have been so determinately planned to go along the middle of the roads....you have uneven manholes passing right in the centre of many roads....guess I should be happy they are at least covered!

India looks like a dirty village next to a squeaky clean city called China.

Hyderabad has the worst roads. They are so badly maintained (esp in rainy seasons) that when your vehicle goes into a pit hole, you dont even know if you'll come back. Huge pitholes still exist in the centre of the city. There's not a single authority who cares for this or takes responsibility. And govt. expects the people to bring them into power again.

- All cities have poor roads.
- Infrastructe and maintainence has been best worst in almost every city, every administration
- It only helps break bones, infuse injury, improve patients apthy, and huge loss to transport system.
- Benefits include improved spare sales to all vehicles, accidents, Improved patients inflow to hospitals etc.
- May be parts of the roads should be given to be mainted by NoN-Government-Organisation for trail periods
- Funds allocated to make and maintain roads should go to charity, instead of individuals and orgainzation.
- This could be worked out as tax excemption..

Yes I agree.Hyderabad has HOLES not roads. The workers put some bitumen and at the first rain it breaks up into small fragments.Only by force of habit can you know about the existence of a hole. The municipal corporation called GHMC has a website wherein one can post grievances. The grievances just lie in cyberspace with no action at all being taken.

Due to political instability and favours to those constituencies whose MLA's have given the crucial crutches for govts. to survive in the past has resulted in deterioration of Bangalore City's health... especially roads and construction of new flyovers...

I am sure bangalore does not have the worst roads.
Its just that half the respondents are from Bangalore.
