It has to be the magical ten at Kotla , no cricketing record can beat that and given the fact that it was against Pakistan made it much more sweeter .

Although u were a unsung hero, u did ur best every time and joined the list of the world's best spinners. U fought ur way through all the criticisms . Ur cricketing career is a lesson to all those people who want to make it big in this sport. U have the best record for contributing in India's wins. But today every one has respect for u in their hearts because of the way u fought all through your career.

U will be missed very badly on field. No one can replace u.

Kumble is graetest ever bowler indian has produced simply because of his match winning performances he has given compared the other greats of indian cricket.

He is gentleman in the game of cricket, highly respected even by his opponents. The only one time in his careerer he went to match referee was during the ind aus series last december coz of symo-bhajji spat.Kumble is Fighter, leader and winner.

WE MISS U JUMBO....

If I start writing about good points of Anil.Kumble, it 'll become a book.

Simply Anil is a true proffessional cricker and his attitude is inspirational. He truly deserve a big reward from BCCI.

Kumble - I think he decided the his retirement suddenly. We can't forgot that moment with Pakistan cricket team with 10 Wickets. It's a fabulous moment.

He is the first indian criketer to get more wickets. But we are very disappointed to take that decision.

The 6/12 against West Indies (Hero Cup) way back in 1992/93. a young bespectacled Indian upstart had arrived to challenge the might of the mighty West Indies. The West Indies, ever since, have never looked invincible.

Guys I would like to share an off field moment with Anil Kumble. This was a month after the Australia's unsuccessful series of India. I was in Bangalore to give my engg exams. I heard that Indian team is camping at Chinnaswamy Stadium before there tour of Zimbabwe. If you remember Kumble dint play that Aussie series due to shoulder injury. He had still not fully recovered from the shoulder injury but he was there at the stadium to help the team. After a while I saw him leaving. Rest of the public still shouting for other players I left the stands to the players parking lot hoping to get a close glimpse of our hero. Fortunately I saw him with his kit giving autograph to a small kid. I also went there with the autograph book. I asked him: "When will you be back Anil?" He smiled at me and said "Dont worry kid! I have not gone anywhere." He opened his car and drove away after a shake hand. That one sentence said two things about him.
i) One should always be positive in life.
ii) One should have self-belief and confidence in himself.

These things however plane and simple they are signifies two things which are epitome of this great Indian Soldier.

I on behalf of all my friends Salute him

Kumble will be missed - not just in cricketing world..but as a leader as well.

My best Jumbo moment (actually there are moments...) was when he made that statement in the press conference after the Sydney test. That changed the way world looked at Indian cricket. We need more ambassadors like him to take our cricket higher.

Otherwise, his gritty century (the way he ran the 100th run) at Oval, his 10 wicket haul at Kotla and many more are the Jumbo moments.

I wish him all the very best.

very true !!

But i think every one is missing one special match where kumble din't took a five wicket haul but would be remembered as one of the valiant efforts of all time in cricket.

May 2002, West Indes - Kumble, who had his bandage adjusted before bowling on quite a few occasions, had admitted he took a risk bowling with a broken jaw in the fourth Test against the Windies. But, he insisted that he was determined to do all he could do for his side before returning home for surgery on the injury.

It prompted cricket legend Viv Richards to say it was one of the bravest things he had seen on the field.
