Hemant Karkare, Maharashta Police's Anti-Terrorism Squad chief, and two of his officers were killed in the terrorist attack in Mumbai on Thursday. Pay your tribute.

it is really ad that we had lose three top officers in a single day, sacrificed to bullets of terrorists from Pakistan. My heart goes out for their families.

Questions that seriously bother me are: when there is a terrorist threat why did three senior policement enter the fray without first checking the extent of threat, how many terrorists were involved and how well were they armed? Were they given false information? Or was it sheer bravado that prompted three key officers to sit in one vehicle and confront an unknown threat, when common sense says that they should have gone in three vehicles?

I have no answers.

I wish that atleast now wisdom prevails on Congress and UPA government to stop this muslim vote bank politics. But with past experiences I strongly feel that is not going to happen. Once Jawaharlal Nehru said we must hang to food adulterators to the nearest electric pole. Any way that never happened nor food adulteration is in control in India. But we must stone the politicians to death.

How I wish I had the fortune of putting myself in the line of the bullet before it hit Mr. Karkare. I cannot kill a terrorist but he could have. India needed him always and we will be missing him always.

The main culprit behind Karkare's death is UPA govt.Had they not used ATS for their political mileage to go after an Imaginary 'Hindu terrorist',ATS could have concentrated their investigation on search of real 'Jihadi' terrorists which could have prevented this attack from happening. It is the disastrous policies of the UPA(e.g removing POTA) which has encouraged these Jihadi elements to carry out these kinds of attack.Anti-national NDTV has completely
deviated people's attantion from real issue.

PLEASE STOP THIS MINORITY VOTE BANK POLITICS.

We salute brave officers like him!!

While all the discussions have been going on on various issues over the past week, what many people have probably not touched is the fact that India is a Nuclear Power.

Let us thank god that thos terrorists entered the Taj and not one of the Nuclear sites or else i only wonder how many dead bodies we'd be counting.

Has any minister confirmed how safe our nuclear establishments are ??

ATS Chief Hemant Karkare has set an example for everyone. The politicians must hang their heads down in shame whenever they look at his memorial. So let a memorial be erected to the great martyr and we all pray that his soul rests in peace.

Hemant Karkare,

I salute you! You did a difficult and thankless job without fear or favour. This is a true indicator of your indomitable character.
Even the last official act that you performed was against overwhelming odds and with hopelessly inadeaquate resources. We INTEND never to forget that.

Even your family conducted themselves with a quiet dignity after such a great misfortune befell them. We resolve that now we the people of Maharashtra, carry the responsibility of caring for them; though i know very well that even they share your strength of character.

pradeep

i do have a message for Narendra Modi and others like him:

Our neighbourhood “shop-keeper”, Mr. Narendra Modi came calling to Mumbai when the mayhem was on and deigned to offer Rs. One crore to the families of the policemen who died in the attack.
This same “iron-man” Narendra Modi did not hesitate to question the integrity and motives of Hemant Karkare; an upright and professional police officer of the finest order. Now he thinks he can throw some scraps this way!
No, Mr. “shopkeeper” Modi; we do not need you. We the ordinary people of Maharashtra will look after our own. Mr. Modi you can keep your Rs. One crore and use it as toilet paper.
Mr. Hemant Karkare’s family shall not want for anything. They are the dignified remnants of a family that has lived and worked with self-respect. We as ordinary citizens of Maharashtra will never ever forget that.
“Shop-keepers and Salesmen” are not welcome here at all. Please stay away from here.
