After Home Minister Shivraj Patil, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister RR Patil resigns. What's your say? | Read story

A day after Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil stepped down from his position, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister RR Patil on Monday quit after NCP chief Sharad Pawar asked him to tender his resignation. Comment.

By resigning, he has not done any favour to anyone, except himself. He should have resigned earlier. Why did he take three extra days? It means he was waiting for someone to ask him to resign. This resignation seems to be due to the pressure and on his own.

Just the resignation is not enough, he and the other accountable should be asked to make good the loss financially as well. I am sure he/they have minted a lot during their tenure. (As some big banks of the world have asked the ex-bosses of the banks to return the bonuses at this time of financial crisis.)

Not only that they should also be made to serve the injured people in the hospitals as a nurse for next five years. (ofcourse without pay)

I could understand the politician resigning, but for the bureaucrats the yard stick should be different. if we remove all the senior bureaucrats, they will affect the integrity of our ruling system. actually we should drill down to the culprits, and punish them, rather than asking for the resignation of the top...obviously politicians should go...but not the top bureaucrats...thats my opinion..

They caught in sleep. They should NOT QUIT but they MUST BE FIRE before they resign. They also MUST BE BANNED from politics forever. That will set example and fear in all leaders in all states.

Dear Rajdeep and Team,
I'm SAI KIRAN from Chennai.
First of all I wish to thank you for providing us an opportunity to raise our voice against these corrupt politicians thru this electronic media. If this wasn't there then a common man's voice wouldn't have been heard at all.
It is a happy news that some of the big heads of state and union govt has rolled but it's really not enough. I feel these people should be punished for their negligence and lack of proper administration. I wish a day should come where India too get's it's own Barack Obama to lead, because our leaders are totally uninspiring in their appearance as well as talks. If at all I had an option to re write the constitution I would have made a rule that just like a govt. employee even these politicians should retire at the age of 58 and also every politician should have a PG degree in administration. Only then India will have more sensible and educated leaders and they can create wonders just like Obama and his team. Also before concluding I wish to say that this resignation spree and changes in the administration should not be applied only with Mumbai but in each and every state. People should think about their own state and there should be a revolution in cleaning up those corrupt politicians. Only then India will shine.

This man represents the face of the ultimate failure of politicians. Being the Home Minister, whose unavoidable duty and responsibility it is to secure the state and city, he actually had the audacity to justify this tragic incident as a regular phenomenon, topped by behaving like he is doing us a favour by resigning. Congress (I) has failed miserably. The Mahatma and Indira Gandhi must be suffering up there in the heavens looking down on the sorry state of affairs their party has come to.

He obviously wanted the power of that position but not the responsibility and this situation exposed this utter failure of a Government servant who has been nothing but a liability to the tax payer. Politicians in power have to realise, there is more to that seat than eating samosas, drinking tea and posing for photographs.

ALL THE PRESENT AND PAST POLITICIANS NATIONWISE AND REGIONWISE WILL BE ARRESTED AND THEIR ASSETS WILL BE NATIONALISED AND THEIR SWISS ACCOUNT WILL BE FREEZED. THEYALL SHOULD BE HANGED IMMEIDIATELY FOR THEIR LACK OF PATRIOTIC BEHAVIOUR. THEN ONLY THE FUTURE WILL BE OURS. PAK IS AGAINST ARMY RULE IN THEIR COUNTRY BUT NOW THE TIME COMES ,WE MUST NEED OUR INDIAN ARMY RULE TO STENGTHEN INDIA AND TO FREIGHTEN OUR OWN POLITICIAN AND TERRORI

hope my fellow bloggers read the comments of caputured terrorist that he has no regrets by doing this henious crime and want to live. How dare he said. Becos of congress govt. How? he knows very well that the congress govt will definitely help him to live long by extend the case deadline and finally they let the case dead and not him. WAT HAPPNED TO AFZAL GURU has been known to him very well. Thats why he took the decision to live. IF the congress govt hanged the afzal rascal earlier the terrorist will not do such a henious crime and this MUMBAI ATTACK WILL NOT TAKE PLACD AND ALL THE INNOCENT LIFE COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED. Definitely they will think twice. Now they confirmed very well the present bleddy congress govt is having so soft on terrorism and they bet they will not be punished in india AND HAVE HOPE THEY WILL BE EVEN FREED DUE TO MINORITY VOTE BANK POLITICS.

OUR INDIA HAS CELEBRATED 61ST INDEPENDENCE DAY and we are facing terrorism in indian soil for the past 25 years. Y? We are a democratic country and we elected our representative and for the past years and they r not capable of handling issues. Y ALL WE R NOT THINK OTHERWISE?

NOW WE ARE PRIASING OUR ARMY,NSG COMMANDOS AND OTHER MILITARY SETUP FOR HANDLING MUMBAI TERRORISM EPISODE.

ARMY RULE IN INDIA NEED OF THE HOUR

It is very surprise to me that nobody including indian public, press, policians are NOT demanded to declare war against pakistan for their hand in mumbai terror attack. Further r we expect pakistan to kill more innocent indian citizen?ENOUGH IS EN0UGH. We have to attack the terror camps in pak without delay and garner support of the world for this action byshowing the evidence of pak link. Otherwise all the politicians will pay the price for this. If ANY BLOOD RELATION OF PM,FM,CM will died then they will take the action immeidately. IF they want to do so then it will happen in future to them.
Now with high pain our Home minister resigns and the appointment of successor will be in the hands of our PM AND SUPER PM.

Lets Hope that the our PM AND SUPER PM SONIA will not appoint the capurted terrorist as our NEXT HOME MINISTER to garner minority votes.

.
