The Satyam saga has brought to fore the need for corporate governance in India Inc. It has also sounded a warning signal for managements that they can't afford to ignore corporate governance any more. World over, there exists a strong code of conduct and corporate governance for corporations. For a company's long-term benefits and retaining investor faith, it is imperative that Indian corporations start looking at corporate governance more seriously. What is your take? Tell us.

What has happened in Satyam might repeat in other reputed companies also but might not have come to the notice of the public so far..
To have control over manipulated accounts and showing of inflated balance, there is urgent need for corporate governance.
Srikantiah.

Almost all company primarily thrive on such scandals which in the business world is given a very honourable name -"the business strategy" which ie preserved as the a topmost secret thing. There is no question of such things being repeated as such things are the very essence of the private enterpreneure, rather such things are the life line of the private sectors. Such very things even at smaalest proportion is termed as "corruption" in governmental sectors toward which all sorts of hues and cries are , rightly, made.

Of course, it is fortunate or unfortunate that such thing has come out in public, may be, due to the sincere effort of some good people either from the inside or from the outside of the company.

Prices of shares shooting up and down erratically or irrationally should at the first instance be caution for the people before ptting their hard and honestly earned money in gambling. For others such things poses no problem as they invest their ill-gotten money for a calculated risk.

Does any one bother about the real estate's manoevering of prices of real estate at will with stake holders such as buyers having obviously no say and the governments keep enjoying the scenario till the public opinion starts going against them due to the efforts of a few good media men who ,too, do exist.
