The Central Government is worried that the Satyam Computer Services scandal may damage the credibility of India's IT industry in the international market.

What's wrong with Satyam being taken over by other firms. First it's a nongovernmental firm. Why is government getting the itch? Second, had the accounts of Satyam have not been manipulated- it could have a become target of takeover. Since (a)Satyam ia a target of takeover anyway, we can let go of Satyam. Please do not waste precisous resources. There is no real thing as tarninshing India's image in this case. Corporate frauds are abundant everywhere and no country is so clean in this world. Please let go of Satyam. Instead of saving Satyam we can spend this money on much more pressing needs like our police services and improve the quality of our life.

There is no need for govt or for politicians to intervene in this issue. If they do this is another way our corrupt politicians in the government would be laying hands over precisous tax resources. Remember it is election time and they need these funds. So do not let this happen!!!!!

Hi,

Private equity gets profits that is shared. Where is government role? Y not give shareholders their due. Regulaters shd play the role that rules of the games are played. There are so much happening in other sectors due to recession and Government cannot bail them out all. Government should come out with a rationale so that it can apply to other situations.

Please think of 10 lakh employees of Textile sector, jewellery industry, and auto ancilliary industry; Who lost their LIVELIHOOD (not just jobs) because of recession. What sin they committed? Why they should be left in lurk? Because they are POOR? They can not travel in luxury cars, can't afford a nice flat, party at McDonald's, very weak to carry a laptop, can not speak English, not convent educated, travel in business class, holiday at Hawaii LIKE AN AVERAGE IT (SATYAM) EMPLOYEE?

There is enough on this Mother Earth for everyone's NEED, but not anyone's GREED.

But why? At whose cost this bail out is for.. and what for this bailout. Does government comes to the rescue of other sufferers. Does government comes to rescue of poors and middle class people who suffers daily for their livelihood. Now, why this discrimination. So far these software industries took a toll on everyones life.. Price went up touching sky high just because of this hot money and these professionals booked two properties simultaneouslly takng advantage of their high salaries. One for their own use and other for speculative buying as they got free loans from banks. They gambled with everyones life and spent lavishly. Now, it is the turnaround. why not this is being digested....And whose money government is going to pay.. Is it taxpayers money.. Is it middle class group who pays their taxes on time standing in ques..Funny isn't it.

These are days where the government or public finance has become the cheapest product Every aspect of life religion.education
arts and culture, sports what not every thing ultimately ends with Money. The non productive expenditure of government itself is at abnormal level. The extravagant spending of governmet is increaing day day.Whenever India won meadals and distinctions in Sports all the state governments and the central government compete with each other in awarding cash rewards from the public money as if it us their grand father's private estates. The share market question is a bit different.Hard earned money is vensted by the middle class people to get a bit of more interest,Taht is exploited by these corporates.People get first belief when dividend comes for 3 or four years. When the company grows the directions favour the firms in whcih they are intersted. Now form their persons the diversion is going to the kith and kin of the promoters. With vested interests the people in the government support the corporate management.Till the other day Mr Ramalinga Raju is the most powerful man and is regarded as a matter of Pride to Andhar Pradesh. That maight have made him to think that he can get over and manage any adverse situation. Now some other corporate should take over the Satyama Computers. Why the government should come to the rescue of the company by spending the common man's money. Those invested in the company know the risks involved i n the share markets.any want to become crore pathis overnight. That is the root problem now.So the government under no circumstances should come to the rescue of Satyam Computers spending tax payer's money or the from the hard earned savings of common men in the Public Sector Banks.

It will be a big mistake government will be doing. The scam and fraud should not be covered with bailouts. else this is gonna be a boost to companies who explicitly fiddle with finance of the company.

Government can bail out company only if its seized 100% by the government Else BIG NO.

Please take strong actions against Senior Satyam Officials who sold 60 lakh shares in year 2008.

Also take strong actions against all these high profile companies i.e. DSP Merrill LYnch, DSP Blackrock, Deutsche Bank, HDFC Mutual Fund and ILFS Financial Services etc., who offloads their shares in Satyam before this incident.

Regards,
Rajesh

The new board of Satyam should find finance through other options such as mortgaging the properties of Satyam with banks for obtaining loan. (Hope Raju has not done it already !)Government should bring out an ordinance, attaching the properties of Raju & Family, based on the obvious fraud committed by the family. A special court to be setup for fast track settlement of the cases. In the end Satyam must be compensated for all the losses. Satyameva Jayathe!!!

No doubt the interest of employees should be protected. But my question is if other companies also indulge in scams, will the government come to the rescue of such employees also?.Where is an end to it?.Instead of bailout, the government should take such measures which would ensure that no such things as in Satyam repeat in other companies too.

This is ridiculous!!!....y should govt. pay for the Satyam debacle. This is nothing but an invite to future scams where in the companies would be bailed out by Govt. funding. Someone does some fraud, for which the whole nation has to pay...this proves the proverb "Kare koi, Bhare Koi".
