Obama will take oath as the 44th President of the United States of America. Can he change the world?

Posted by ramutrdas at 10:19 AM, Jan 22, 2009

Let me first congratulate Mr. Barack Hussian Obama for being Honorouable U.S. President.

The answer for whether he can change the world, obvoisly its NO! When people expect change means only to overcome the current crisis/problems of any aspect not just that he will create wonders.

When we look at his inauguration speech, he tried his best to reboot the spirits & aspirations in each & every US citizen to remake United States of America. He indirectly warned the US Economy to take initiave step to bring down the crisis.

Thanks....

I know being an Indian staying in the USA, i really do feel the Indian media is very concerned about what happens in US. In a way we cant blame them it is our government who instead of taking an action against the terrorists or a terrorsit nation, here we are sending the dossier to all the nations and waiting for their response. Why should we as a free country have to wait on other nations to decide our fate? We should be strong as a nation to take a decision and stand by it at all costs when it comes to protecting our Nation and what it stands for.

History has been created.......Barrack Obama has been sworn in as the first ever blackie guy in charge of the United States.......The event is highly significant....It has broken the racial barriers in the country.....whatever people may think....United States, being a superpower always have a huge role in global economy, politics etc. Till now according to his post and pre-election speeches....he seems firm, straight-forward, and concerned about his duties. In the future his leadership will turn out to be a bless for the whole world

congratulations for the people of USA for their president Obama.but one thing we didnt understand why Indian media made such a hyped presentation to the swearing in ceremony of Obama. we must think once we are in India and not USA.Also nice leaders have emerged in India but never did Indian media project them in such a glorious way as they did for Obama.as an Indian we must think about this.

The most charismatic leader- Obama!
When a person can silence a crowd of more than 2 million through his emotionally laden rhetoric speech in an unrelenting weather and draw tears out of children and men alike and help his vision to pass onto the listeners merely through his speech.... we know that a leader is born! I sitting at my home in India, didnt feel as if he was adressing only America in particular!.. Every nation could connect and relate to what he said!.. The poignant words he uttered and the goals he set .. according to me were not just castles being built up in air.. They made some real sense.. and we all sincerely hope they are met
I wish he was leading India..

its refreshing to see this young charismatic leader talkin about change......... too much idealism is it???? i dont think so coz in his inaugral speech he picked out all the problems and shortcomings faced by america and gave the people a reality check and not empty promises.....but with that he also gave hope and encouragement to rebuild america by pickin up the pieces and putting it into place........ hope the world learns from his example.......ALL THE BEST PREZ "O"

Reasons being the driving force, past mistakes being the teachers, hard work being the plan, protection of citizens being the aim, national prosperity being the product, equality being the foundation, responsibility being the duty, accountability being the check, transparency being the balance, well fare of future generations being the investment, honesty being the commitment, integrity being above suspicion, the hope from a new leader of a vibrant democracy.

The messages from the American society are important and impressive, the most important is with regard to means to opportunity, an African American has made it to presidency taking oath on the very steps built by slaves, a part of his own ancestry. The reasons behind Mr. Obama’s raise to acceptance by majority of the American society have within themselves a very special lesson. While undoubtedly his very own personality is a factor, the maturity of the American society to acknowledge and reward intelligence and hard work irrespective of ancestry, forms the foundation.

He has made it to the top job not by special circumstances created for his group due to race, colour or ancestry, not by special privileges and not by unequal guarantees, but due to provision of equality of opportunity, reward for intelligence, recognition of hard work, proof of merit and above all the power to convince and win over the majority of the American population.

There is a message for Indian society, equality based opportunity, respect and dignity based society and reason based electioneering would be the basis of an optimistic, productive, content and inclusive population.

A dream people must have, a vision nation must have, trusted leader citizens must have, pride in institutions society must have, tolerance communities must have, opportunities populations must have, freedom, the mind must have, compassion, the soul must have, magnanimity individual personalities must have, dignity life forms must have, responsibility workers must have, protection laws must have, reasoning, policy must have, accountability, governments must have, honesty, integrity and probity everyone must have.

Congratulations Mr. Obama. I saw y'day inauguration speech and was too good and exciting. I wish all the best to Obama and look forward excellent administration. As an Indian I expect him not to aid/waste US citizens tax money $ on pak any more and do things differently. He should relocate their troops from Iraq to Afgan to replace pak forces and benefit two fold.

Well, there is hope with Obama. Because unlike other post-ww2 Presidents of the USA, Obama KNOWS first-hand, what life is like in the shoes of, ... "children of lesser God". That gives him the unique advantage to approach issues from unexplored perspectives. With a lineage linking him to Islam, albeit by a long, now severed tether, his views and approach to Islamist Terrorism will be given better respect by the rest of the world including the Arab world. A bottom-up man, Obama can easily link-up to third world countries and that's no small mercy! May God help Obama to make the world breathe easier, before he passes the baton.
