Are you happy with Lalu

Are you happy with Lalu's Rail Budget?

TimePosted by IBNLive at 12:02 PM, Feb 13, 2009 in India

Lalu Prasad presented his sixth Railways Budget in Parliament. Do you think his Budget was a populist one? Are you happy with the Budget?

Just travel through the suburban trains in Mumbai or probably in all metro cities, or through unreserved bogey in any mail or express train and then comment on this or any rail budget.

Commuters condition is worse than the animals which are taken all care in goods train.

Waiting period in reservation is during peak seasons is not less than 3 months and usually it is not less than a month.

Security and passengers without reservations entering the reserved bogies and bothering the passengers.

The reason is acute shortage of bogies and trains. The government can not shirk its responsibility simply by saying that it is due to population explosion.

The Accounts of Railways need to be checked again, Laluji, is trying to keep his Bihari Vote Bank happy by giving all new trains to Patna, from where the revenue generation is the least, intentionally he hseems to have neglected the Western & the Southern part of the country from where the possiblity of Revenue generation is the maximum atleast the previous records say so. All Railway coache factories are established only iin UP & Bihar, All recruitment is done only from UP & Bihar, Why Laluji Why. Please justify your actions.

Ya i am very happy with his budget. He has done a miracle. Till now no any rail minister has done so. He has made profit from last 5 years without increasing any fares, inspite he has decrease the fares in this current crisis. Each and every minister should learn a lesson from him.

No.As a Vizagite we are not happy with the budget.Vishakapatanam has population more than Bhubaneshwar but being in ECoR all the trains are extended upto Bubaneshwar. In spite of Vishakapatnam earns more revenue for Ecor it doesn't extend any facilities. The quota is just not sufficient as such we never get reservations. The public have to depend on buses which are always full. This Vishakapatanam station is most neglected .Unless and until they make it a New Zone OR introduce more trains with Vishakapatanam as origin it is difficult for people of Vizag to travel to other parts of India.
regards
subha

this rail way budget is purely for north indians. from these five years of lalus railway budget i have not seen any allocations to soth indian rail ways development. lalu is only including new trainds, railway tracks to north and east railways. he must also keep in mind about south. I think the better way of estimating railway budget is to keep in mind about all the zonal railways and distribute them as per thier projects to each zonals.

Not at all. We would be more happy if ..there would be more investment on safety and security side. there is a tragic incident happened in Jajpur, Orissa.(Rail accident). What type of security is GOVT providing for safety of the passengers. what I believe there is no compensation for a life. So by giving 5 lakes and one job...the issue is not over. Lalu should focus on the maintainance of the rail tracks and traffic more.

Congratulation to Lalu for making profit in rail dept...but in the mean time he/GOVT should think about safety of the passengers.

There are few suggestions.

1. Do regular check up of the rail tracks. Place Cameras..at important junctions and bridges, so that we can catch if anybody is involved in tempering the track. Even we can cancel trains for doing maintainance purposes.

2. Use latest technologies which are used in developed countries to reduce accidents. By introducing Bullet trains we are not going to make happy to Amm Admi.

Jai Hind!!!!!!
