There was high drama during Home Minister P Chidambaram's press conference in New Delhi when a journalist threw a shoe at the minister.

He has not shown shoes at Just Chidambram , infact he has shown shoe at Congress party which has made mockery of justice by converting CBI into Congress bureau of investigation.
otherwiise what is the need of giving clean chit to Tytler just at the time of elections. what was CBI doing for 5 years.
shoe show the desparation of common man from wrong policies of Congress i.e minority appeasement , Reservation , economic policies etc. Congress should not sidestep it saying as one man anger , it has become anger of country and countrymen will vote this govt. out of office .

Most Shocking! Only One shoe (not even a pair). It seems this Indian National Chor Party (congress of chors)should get a billion shoes so atleast they can open shop after the elections. Right from Nehroo to Rajeev they played politics of hate.religion, caste, region and latter sex (shah bano case). This shameless party of worthless with a intelligent and honest bafoon at the top thinks the Aam Admi is foolish enough, Yes majority of Indians are foolish we do agree as they are uneducated, illiterate, poor and unawares of their rughts and responsibilities. The recent IAI deal with the Israelis is proof enought. Where did Man Mohan Singh,Anthony,Mukerjee honesty go? - yes what was the Dy. chairman of the planning comission doing in the security meeting of the cabinet- any answers? This party leaders should be shooed with old ones and NOT the new sneaker which the journalist threw. Maybe he was rich enough to do this. Chappals- uhh; Kolahpuri or for that matter Rajasthani Jothis will be good enough. These are Aam Admi footwear. Keep it up the likes of Journal Singh or Jarnail or General oh.. whosoever it was.

There are 3 things to note.
1. The action of the Journalist:
Highly condemnable, unprofessional against any ethical or moral value.

2.Chidambaram Keeping his cool:
Appreciated, demonstrated the way a leader should behave in public.
3.Letting the Journalist go without a case
Shows the generosity of the Home minister who can give no reason but a nearing election for this act of generosity. But I condemn this as an act. As a home minister, he is the custodian of law and he should have arrested that man and ensured that his act was punished as an example to others.

Overall, the crime of congress was suppressed by the shoe throw incident. All the political parties should demonstrate their integrity by removing all the tainted candidates in the fray. Untill they do that, no one should vote for either congress, or BJP or any other party. Choose independents, not criminals.

This is not the best way to show respect to an individual but when Government does use the CBI for their own use then these type of actions will re surface again.

I can't understand how dissatisfaction can be shown in such distasteful ways. That too by a journalist ! When you comment on politicians, please bear in mind that it's one among us who is there as politician. One who is raised mostly as the way we as a community are raised. And this is what we teach to our future generation. If you are angry, throw your shoes. It doesn't matter if it's your politician, Teacher or Parents for we have a 'valid' reason. And then there is media to claim 'first pics' even for such acts................God save our sanity.

As a Sikh i can say that the method was wrong that jarnal singh adopt but motto was right. Congress should understand that Sikh community is in great anger because of injustice done by them & cbi in 84 riot case. Therefor they should not give mp ticket to (innocent people killer) jagdesh tytler& again order cbi to re-investigate the case

i fail to understand people saying jarnail singh's action is not acceptable in a civilized country like ours when in this civilized country the likes of Mr.Tytler accused of massacring thousands of innocent persons can roam freely .
its been 25 years and now the patience of an educated sikh like jarnail singh has also given way to desperation and anguish..and mr.chidambaram asks to have patience..for another 25 years????

What the journalist did might not be in the true spirit of journalism, however one cannot help but notice the level of anger and betrayal expressed by a member of a community which has been unjustifiably made to wait for 25+ years for justice they do deserve after what happened in Delhi in 84. I think its high time for a party like Congress which was the symbol and machinery of freedom struggle movement to realize that it cannot deny the freedom of justice for a grieved community. I think the time is right for them to introspect there actions and try their best to deliver justice to those who have been made to wait endlessy without seeking any political brownie points or fearing for a political backlash. No one can compensate for the loss of those souls however atleast justice can be delivered with out any further delay...

Though the act can not be approved as per the law, yet it should be considered seriously. Both the Govt. and the Congress Party have no answer. Four thousand people had been killed in the national capital mercilessly. The episode continued for three nights and two days. Only 12 people have been convicted so far. Is it believable that 4000 people were killed by only 12 persons? Is it believable that it was not state sponsored? Is it believable that there was no leadership of the mob?
Is it believable that massacre was not planned? If Tytler and Sajjan are not responsible then who are they? The silence of both the Govt. and the Congress party on this is deplorable. The congress party should not blunder to wipe up the history. The party must remember that Sikhs have not so far forgotten 400 years old history of atrocities as they recite the same at least twice in their ‘Ardas’. This massacre is only 25 years old.
