Throwing shoes at politicians seems to have become the easiest language of protest in this country.
Posted by avdheeru at 02:21 PM, Apr 10, 2009
This is the reaction of public after the limitations.
People who vote and wait for develpoment of self and soceity need to express their concern, when, where and how? The vote begging politicians look the public face once in 5 years. The politics is the only job to earn money i think so, no need of personality, qualification, quality, discipline, feelings etc without these qualities, can they develop a Constituency. People of congress, whom i have seen are most corrupt and leads to many confusions to the public. They have led the contry for somany years. What is the develpoment, what are the facilities they have given to the public. Nobody in todays politics are good. My advice to todays politicians is" Please feel that its your place, village, town, state, country and feel its your home and treat all like your family members. You buy all facilities to your person in home, get them whatever they need before they ask. You need to travel in high comfort vehicles, you need abroad refreshment..etc...
Mark the heavenly places of India, list the life taking problems, taste the peacefillness...this is what people look from your end. Ruling this country sholud feel proud and getting indians affection is the greatest task.
If you dont do, today it shoe and slippers to your face..tomorrow it may be another worst way to express public feedback. Without campaign get the vote..meet public often and often. It may not be personally..use media to make yourself in contact with public..use technology. Avoid corruption and stone throwing to eachother.
Be good to nation and public.
Thanks

Throwing of shoes at politicians is certainly not the right way to protest. In this world of today, where the media is a very strong channel to communicate with the masses, journalists and teachers, and for that matter, we all should engage ourselves in convincing people to go out and vote and ensure that corrupt, tainted, criminals do not get elected. These efforts may not yield instant results but may surely have an impact in the long run. To achieve this, all of us should educate the voters to go out and vote, because this is the best way to express yourself in a democratic society. If you do not vote, you are being governed by imposed leaders and we will not have any reason to complain. So vote and choose you own leaders and let INDIA be governed by able and honest leaders.

Please suggest me any one politician without a tainted past for which you suggest the people to vote. I am not against voting but when there are all cheaters and robbers, hardly makes sense to vote. if there is an option "Not to Vote", I would stamp on that to make sure that my vote is not misused. this way I ca nraise my voice against the politicians. Bomb explosions, corruption, nurturing goons for self interest are some of the things motivated by our great politicians. Biggest support to this sentence would be the presence of terror outfits on Indian soil which happens due to these politicians. I would urge the EC to come up with a No Vote Option and I am sure that everyone will come to vote. That way we can raise the voice that today there is no one whom we can vote and the ones that are eligible are not allowed inside the arena. Sad but true.

Hi,
The sad part here is that all the contestants have some or other criminal background and does not make any sense if we ask everybody to go and vote. Anybody who comes to power is a criminal.
The other way around could be to form a huge group and raise a voice against the corrupt politicians in the media and let all channels cover it. People should go and lodge compliants in groups and get that person either arrested or refrain him from contesting.
Only then this wud be possible.

yes i think this is right comment, throwing a shoe at a person at that postion by a person who is in the media world is not right ,i m not saying about the frustration and the pain the that the people who faced either in 1984 sikh riots or it may be 2002 gujarat riots no one can heal their wounds, being from a person media where people will be asking all sorts of question to the people whihc will be hearting where they might have frustared more than that journalist.

yes i think this is the only way to expediete the process of penalising them, although it can lead to misuse of the same. What i feel,at every public meeting shoe throwing can be limited to 2 per meeting

Be ashamed of....... throwing shoes, on what right? in a democracy you have a powerful weapon in your possession. the right to Vote. Use it effectively. And not in a barbaric way of reacting this type. And who is doing this ?!! School teacher, Media reporter?!! Shame on them. Our children are learning these things from them?! It is election time. Otherwise you would have been taught by the police and security men for this. Thank God, You are lucky this time. Have you heard of this famous third law of Sir Isac Newton. For every action there is a opposite and equalent reaction. So, it is enough. Behave as Indians. On no account this act cannot be justified my dear.

what if while the journalist was throwing the shoe, one of the security personnel shoots him mistaking him for a possible terrorist? I am NOT condoning anyone (tytler, et al). Just a worried thought! What do others think, what else might accidentally have gone wrong at the time of that incident?
