Current Rating:

May not be the best city but certainly a nice place to live in.
Bangalore can be made still more comfortable to live in by improving its transport system.Traffic congestions are a regular sight.Let us hope when the Metro train runs, this would go a along way in easier transport.

In karnataka, entire tax payers money is being dumped in to Bangalore. Bangalore is the only place in the state everbody wants to concentrate. There is no other cities which got due attention to even come to the stage of comparing with Bangalore. Everything of karnataka is centralised in bangalore. All Bangalore main roads are getting relayed everyyear even though they are good or bad. But in majority of district places roads and drainage systems are not attended last so many years. No alternative cities have been developed. There will no power cut in bangalore and no water problem. Some money comes and is being spent. But there is always step motherly treatment for other cities.

What the reader is saying is nonsense. My street has been asphalted after 30 years. B'cos its a capital city, some roads may get more attention. Deve Gowda and Cong ensured Bangaloreans money was spent all over Karnataka and it is not the other way round. It is known that Coorg and Bangalore give max tax. First time that BJP is ensuring infrastructure is looked into in Bangalore. But the conditions over the rest of the state is pitiable in terms of water, power, roads and transport. No jobs, no tax, no improvement. Bangalore may become a big slum soon if this is not rectified.

I strongly disagree your statement. Two years ago there was an official report showing close to 70% of Karnataka's income is being generated from Bangalore. And Rest of Bangalore is one of the least developed in the country (esp, northern Karnataka). Bangalore is not the reason for that. When Devegowda and sons where opposing Bangalore-Mysore infrastructure corridor, all the rural population in Mandya and adjacent regions were fraying against the then Chief Minister. Are Bangaloreans responsible for this? Be happy that Bangalore is glowing Karnataka. You say abt Tax money from Karnataka! Bangaloreans pay Tax many folds than that of the entire Karnataka.
