

14 injured in stone pelting at Pratapgarh
PTI | 09:08 PM,Aug 09,2010Jaipur, Aug 9 (PTI) At least 14 people were today injured in stone pelting in Rajasthan's Pratapgarh district, police said. The incident took place in Hathunia area where a school student was slapped by an unidentified miscreant following which his parents and relatives thrashed a few people. "Soon the scuffle turned violent and people from both the sides pelted stones at each other in which 14 people received mild injuries," they said. Additional force has been deployed in the area to maintain law and order, police said, adding probe was on into the matter.
