29 teens picked for IMG-Reliance Scholarship
PTI | 05:09 PM,Sep 04,2010Legendary coach Nick Bollettieri, in association with the All India Tennis Association, selected five players to become full-time scholars at the IMG Academy. In association with the Basketball Federation of India, Andy Borman, Director, IMG Academy for Basketball and leading coach Dan Barto selected four boys and as many girls to become scholars at the IMG academies. Sixteen sub junior footballers have also been selected for the full-time scholarship programme. The team of talented under-15 boys, selected in consultation with the All India Football Federation, will be trained at IMG Soccer Academy, the release said. Among the 16 boys are two goalkeepers, five defenders, six midfielders and three strikers. The IMG Soccer Academy has seven fields. (More) PTI SSR DK DB
