3 laptop lifters held
PTI | 01:02 AM,Feb 04,2012Madurai, Jan 4 (PTI) Three persons, allegedly involved in a series of theft of laptops and jewellery from passengers at the central bus stand here, have been arrested and police reovered 23 laoptops among others from them. The three were arrested last night by the team headed by Assistant Police Commissioner Muthuswamy, set up in view of rising number of complaints about theft of luggage by passengers at the Mattuthavani bus terminal. Police said they recovered 23 laptops and gold jewellary worth Rs 11 lakh from the three, who were produced in a court and remanded to judicial custody.
