ABVP to stage protest on commercialisation of education
PTI | 04:07 PM,Jul 26,2010Bhopal, Jul 26 (PTI) The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) will stage a massive protest against commercialisation of education on September 28 here."Though Madhya Pradesh is a backward state, the fee in educational institutes is very high and out of reach for economically weak students," ABVP State Secretary Bharti Kumbhare told reporters here today."Around 50,000 students are expected to take part in the protest," she said.To drum up support for the protest, the ABVP will carry out a signature, parents contact and pamphlets distribution campaign from August 1-15."We are also going to hold a state level students' leaders meeting on the commercialisation of education system in Bhopal on August five," she said.Kumbhare said that all the schools and colleges and coaching institutes in the state will be asked to remain closed ahead of the protest commercialisation of education system.
