

ChildFund India to spend rs 60 crore in TN
PTI | 06:09 PM,Sep 27,2011Chennai,Sep27 (PTI) ChildFund India, an NGO working for children, will spend around Rs 60 crore in Tamil Nadu as part of its Rs 200 crore contribution to South India for various services, it said today. "This funding will largely focus on building skilled and involved youth, connecting targeted high risk groups of HIV/AIDS with essential health services and imparting quality education to children and youth," Anne Lynam Goddard, CEO and President of ChildFund International, told reporters here. NGO was working in eight districts of the state,she said. Dola Mohapatra, National Director, ChildFund India, said while Rs 200 crore would be spent on NGO's operations in southern India over the next five years, Rs 60 crore out of this was being earmarked for Tamil Nadu as it was a main focus state.
