Chouhan denies reports over posting of collectors
PTI | 06:07 PM,Jul 28,2010Bhopal, Jul 28 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today denied reports which quoted him saying that tough collectors were posted in a number of districts to deal firmly with the Congress MLAs. The reports are totally baseless, Chouhan said in the State Assembly, just before the commencement of the Question Hour. I respect not just the MLAs but all the elected representatives, he added. Soon after the Question Hour was over, Congress MLA, Kalpana Parulekar raised the issue and demanded that if the Chief Minister has not said any thing of that sort then, the State Government's public relation department should issue a denial on the issue. According to reports in a section of media, Chouhan, during the BJP's Legislature Party meeting yesterday, had said that tough collectors were posted in several districts to firmly deal with the Congress MLAs and this might have caused trouble for the ruling party MLAs too.
