

Excise Inspector sentenced to four years SI
PTI | 08:08 PM,Aug 31,2010Bangalore, Aug 31 (PTI) An Excise Inspector in Bagalkot district was sentenced to four years simple imprisonment and asked to pay a fine of Rs five lakh by a local court in a disproportionate assets case. In default, he would have to undergo two years imprisonment, a Lokayukta press release said. The accused, Abubukar Hasimsab Jamakhandi, Excise Inspector of Mudhuol taluk, against whom the case was registered 10 years ago, was convicted by District and Session Court Bagalkot yesterday, the release said.
