

Fake currency with face value of Rs 6 crore seized, two held
PTI | 05:01 PM,Jan 12,2012New Delhi, Jan 12 (PTI) In one of the biggest seizures, police today recovered fake currency with a face value of Rs six crore from south-west Delhi and arrested two persons in this connection. The seziure was made from two tempos in Dabri area earlier in the day on a tip-off, a senior police official said. "It will be one one of the biggest recoveries till now. Fake currency has been recovered from two tempos. The notes are of 500 and 1000 denominations. It is fine quality fake currency," the official said. The fake currency were hidden inside cloth bundles. The official said counterfeit notes were smuggled in from neighboring countries.
