Four die after being run over by speeding car in Surat
PTI | 07:07 PM,Jul 29,2010Surat, Jul 29 (PTI) Four persons were killed and three others injured after being run over by a speeding car on the Pandesara-Bamroli road here today, police said. The incident took place when a group of textile mill workers where on their way to work, they said. According to police, a speeding car driven by one Atik Shah, a businessmen, ran over seven people, killing two on the spot. Two others succumbed to their injuries in the Surat Civil hospital, while three are under treatment, they said. Shah has been arrested and a case has been registered against him, police said, adding that further investigation in the case was on.
