Four die of asphyxia
PTI | 11:07 AM,Jul 20,2011Ghazipur (UP), Jul 20 (PTI) Four persons, including a minor and his father, died of asphyxiation after inhaling poisonous gas in a dry well in Suhwel area here, police said today.The incident occurred late last evening when 12-year-old Sonu went into the well to take out something in Arainpur village near here, they said.When Sonu did not come out for long, his father Munna (42) and three others, Kalika (40) Bhoshnath (25) and Ramesh (25) too climbed down the well in search of him and inhaled the poisonous gas, they said.Later, local residents launched a rescue exercise in which while Ramesh was saved, Sonu, Kalika, Bhoshnath and Munna died due to asphyxia, police said.
