HC gives its nod for metro rail work in Cubbon park area
PTI | 10:09 PM,Sep 07,2010Bangalore, Sep 7 (PTI) The Karnataka High Court today gave permission for the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to carry out the metro rail work in between Vidhana Soudha (the State Secretariat) and High Court,which falls under Cubbon Park. The court gave its consent as per the 1998 High Court order according to which permission of High Court has to be sought for any work undertaken in Cubbon Park area. When the application seeking permission for the work filed by Horticulture Department on behalf of BMRCL came up, a Division Bench headed by Chief Justice J S Khehar also directed the BMRCL to complete work in two years time.
