Heavy rains claim two lives in Achalpur
PTI | 10:08 PM,Aug 29,2010Amravati, Aug 29 (PTI) Two girls were drowned in Achalpur of the district today as heavy rains lashed the town raising level of Bicchan river passing through it, police said. The girls identified as Ashwini Kishor Shirsath and Pooja Dilip Ladhole, both 18-year-old, were crossing Bicchan river at Sanyas Peth Mahadev temple when its level increased suddenly drowning them both, they said. One of the bodies was fished out metres away from the spot but it could not be identified yet, police said.
