Infant dies after measles vaccination in UP

Lucknow, Aug 22 (PTI) An infant died allegedly after being vaccinated against measles in Malihabad area, officials said here today. 20-day-old Anju was administered the vaccine at Maliahabad community health centre on Saturday, they said. After vaccination, the child died at her home in the evening. Health department officials, including Chief Medical Officer Ashok Mishra, visited the village and the health centre and conducted a primary inspection, they said. An FIR was lodged and post mortem of the baby carried out.
